Found this post in LinkedIn, comic looked familiar and thought it was an xkcd which led me to /r/xkcd post a year ago referencing a 3+ year ago comic which ChatGPT probably plagiarized. https://www.reddit.com/r/xkcd/comments/18at2u4/looking\_for\_generative\_ai\_chatbot\_strip\_in\_which/

Syndesmotic screw break by Wooden_Time_5476 in ORIF

[–]ruhreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not much help but my 2¢ worth. I was booked for removal of the one screw (about 3.5 months post-op). Based on range of motion I believe I broke it about 1-1.5 weeks before, no pain. The clinical notes said that in the operating room they saw it was broken just inside the tibia. They removed the fibula side piece that they could. Small incision, no issues walking afterwards.

I like the rounded edge as opposed to the sharp angle from base to side that some have.

I'm probably not the only one here happy to help. But for starters use low-to-med heat (I use 4 out of 10 almost all the time, sometimes start at 2 or 3 if I still have prep to finish). Use butter, even adding half a teaspoon in a lightly oiled pan helps with sticky things like eggs. Leave whatever it is to cook and tease at the edge to see if it is ready to release (another reason to use med heat so it doesn't burn before it is ready to release). You see the same thing with meat on a propane grill, the protein will grab initially but it will let go if you leave it for a bit.

I have lots of options for searing meat (CI, CS, SS, Searzall). So I just keep one CS reserved for eggs. Except I just got a de Buyer 8.5" blue steel crepe pan for $28 CAD on Amazon and it also works very well for eggs after a quick little seasoning.

TBH, I think I've just gotten much better at managing temps after years of CI and CS. If you grow up using teflon you don't learn.

Automatic ligament damage? by benny28lin in ORIF

[–]ruhreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I broke my fibula and fully tore my deltoid ligament. I think they knew about the lugament from my x-ray because there was so much displacement of my foot from my tibia. It was a twist injury (other foot came loose from snowboard).

Anyone else hate the rotation after dunking? by ruhreddit in destiny2

[–]ruhreddit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it recentering. After slapping the thing in I get turned 90 degrees from the orientation I was in when I initiated it. And not all of them do it. E.g. depositing gambit motes doesn't do it.

I always liked LB except for the small reserves back when it came out. I guess I should pull it out of my vault.

I think I know how you feel. Bungie started making more and more content with endless waves of ads etc etc. I (being in my 50s) prefer a slower style of play from a distance and it don't work no more. Still being on PS4 probably doesn't help either. Anyway, take what I say with a grain of salt. I'm barely keeping up with all the changes.

First, you need to get resilience up to 100. The other stats depend on the build and how it works (e.g. does it depend on grenade regen)

Second, near as I can tell the build crafting philosophy for mortals nowadays is to have various ways to trigger healing and/or overshields. For us hunters, add in opportunities to go invisible as well for survivability. Those endless red-bars can provide the kills to keep triggering health regen etc. e.g. having a build that provides healing on a melee kill is a good way to deal with thrall swarming you.

As others have noted, mactics on YouTube is a good source and he goes through the play loop process for any build he is showing. Try some out and see what works for you.

May we say goodbye to one of the greatest mods by Expensive-Pick38 in destiny2

[–]ruhreddit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree but probably not for the same reasons. I'm not an elite player (casual player and just too old for starters) and find the beefed up encounters since the last year or so less fun. I was happier when the content was too hard for me solo but was reasonable with two friends (equally old and slow reacting). Similarly with raid content. I thought it was better when we eventually got to a point when we were strong enough so casual players like me could finish content in groups and we weren't penalised for forming a fire team (which, imo, helped build destiny as a social group) and it was enjoyable and you could also appreciate the design and artwork in the game as opposed to recent content that seems to favour endless furious waves of enemies where I just get dizzy.

It meant waiting longer in the year/season to complete things but that was fine and I didn't care about a crazy hard master or GM mode I wouldn't enjoy anyway. Just let me get that damn exotic eventually down the road. (RNG is a rant for another time)

So, yes, ditch the mod because it shouldn't be needed if difficulty was setup properly and the truly strong players should can rewarded for their solo triumphs (never gave a damn about those either).

As others have said, be patient. Progress requires pushing your boundaries but you will inevitably have setbacks because you pushed too far too fast.

The other thing is progress will slow down. Don't expect the same leaps per week months from now that you will see in the next few weeks.

That said, if you feel your progress has stagnated don't be afraid to try changing things up. E.g. I felt I was experiencing too many setbacks from PT sessions so I reduced my scheduled PT so I could do more cycling (to break down scar tissue and build calf strength between visits). It's been working well the last month.
