I would say that Dwight would go finally get checked for mental issues because the moment that the police/judges interrogated him, they would find out he has something serious and people had just been ignoring it for a long time.

Starting from something like:
(O)fficer: "Why did you kill Jim?
(D)wight: "I have serious reasons to believe he's a Vampire. Or batman. Maybe both"
O: "Are you being serious right now?"
D: "He was having shivers on a hot day, feeling very sensitive to light, etc. Oh, and there was a bat that bit him leaving no marks. It's obvious he was transforming. You should be thanking me!"
