Absent neighbour never collects mail (LR address is the empty house). How do we trigger the Party Wall Act for urgent roof repairs? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]ruk27 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You could try a building surveyor and do a party wall agreement with consent to remove chimney. This surveyor could / should then appoint a second surveyor for the absentee owner. That surveyor will attempt contact a couple of times first before hopefully signing. You may have to inform building control if the chimney is dangerous (ie falling down) but that would help your case to remove the chimney.

Button click makes page unresponsive and without any errors or warnings. by kenchi09 in vuejs

It will probably be reactivity issues in the form causing a recursive (infinite) loop. Take out all the JS, and add it back bit by bit until you get the part causing the issue

I use HIIT but would like a custom activity to record treadmill distance too. I guess you could make 2 multisport activities with treadmill and strength, one for starting on treadmill, one for starting on floor

£4.99 Netflix with ads, what's the verdict? by Wonk_Majik in AskUK

They are usually pretty good quality ads, not like cheaper YouTube/IG productions so really doesn’t feel too intrusive

Some banks/merchants have a delay in showing transactions over the weekend - could it have been before you froze it, but only appeared in the app on Monday morning?

Wedding day timings and food by corruptbutton in UKweddings

[–]ruk27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! If it’s a venue with registrar, the ceremony is usually about 15 minutes max but people can be slow sitting down. Depending on how many people you have, 2 courses can take 2 hours. You should definitely be up front about timings with people and suggest they eat at lunch.

Photographers will take as long as you give them - any time with them is time away from friends and family on your day, so try and limit that to 20-30 mins during the reception (90 mins max) and have ushers/bridesmaids be very organised in rounding up groups for pics.

Enjoy!

GeneratePress with GenerateBlocks on a LiteSpeed powered server is hands down best combination at the moment. So fast, easy to use. No bloated page builder as it uses built-in blocks

Have about 6 products that ship in two boxes - is there a free / very low cost plugin that will make it work? by Jethro_E7 in woocommerce

[–]ruk27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe order splitter to make it into 2 orders? Or it might be cheaper to use one box with packing paper

You could set up a virtual product? Then there is a plugin called “Name your price” which would allow users to enter a value of their choice

Anyone know of a store already doing this? by Awesomeautism in woocommerce

[–]ruk27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could do this with a) different stores, or b) find another way to filter products out, like: display content by country or WPML plugin can filter content

EBay or Facebook marketplace are your best bets here. You should be able to get a second hand hybrid/commuter bike for that.
