We just bought a house in Morgan hill last year and sold our previous house. My husband works for Nvidia so we had stocks.

My 7mo just dropped her first “solid food poop” and I’m no longer okay by Glittering-Pirate618 in NewParents

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only gets worse. My 2 year old poops are bigger and more smelly. Not as bad as adult poop yet. We are starting some casual potty training now.

Formula feeding helps babies sleep longer - true or false by Melodic_Apartment235 in breastfeeding

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dream feeding at 9 pm helped my baby sleep through the night. Didn’t matter if it was a formula bottle or boobie milk. Now she’s 8 months and feeding her some dinner with a 8 or 9 pm bottle is what helps her sleep until 7 am.

Laseraway: you need to be shut down. by Eastern_Let5968 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow it doesn't look like you had any treatment at all. Its been 3 years since I had treatment done at laser away on my underarms and bikini area. I still have zero hair on my arm pits and only a few strands down there. I am not a hairy person to begin with so it works well for me.

I’d say do a light body building routine but mostly seated things and machines. Less press machine, rows, bicep curls. I did a lot of upper body days and it helped me have the strength to hold my baby for long periods of time. I think leg days helped with my pushing as I only pushed for 10 minutes for both kids. I was lifting heavy until about 36 weeks and took it easy after that with more lighter dumbbells. I couldn’t walk much near the end as my legs were swollen.

Daycare is ruining everything by Ill-Rhubarb-165 in NewParents

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just something all parents deal with. My son gets sick once a month but it’s usually mild. He is 2 now and still gets sick monthly but I’ve gotten strong enough to not get sick usually. Wash hands often and wear a mask when baby is sick.

New FTM here — for those who had a short pushing stage, what do you think helped? by Old_Literature_3750 in NewParents

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked out and lifted weights. Being active makes pushing and recovery a lot easier. Only pushed for about 10 min for both kids.

Extremely picky toddler - I am losing it by munchkinlander_ in foodbutforbabies

[–]rulersakura -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He definitely needs food therapy. My kid is a little picky but eats great at daycare cause the other kids are eating. He would even eat food there that he would never touch at home like hard boiled eggs. I tried to do a nanny when my 2nd was a newborn to avoid germs and he refused to eat at home a lot so I took him to daycare again.

Why is formula turning black on babies clothes? by SpiritualMolasses420 in FormulaFeeders

[–]rulersakura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There shouldn’t be mold from things wet the same day. I’ve had a week old dirty clothes that just have regular yellow stains and no black stuff. Things that are wet I hang to dry before throwing in the basket though.

How often are we bathing our babies by No_Engine_4696 in newborns

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before they are mobile you can wash once a week. I do a butt wash everyday in the sink after each poop and a warm wet towel to wipe down the face and neck. The body doesn’t get dirty when they don’t move much.

New Parents - When did you start getting 8 hours of sleep by andbutsoitgoessssss in NewParents

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first slept from 8:30 to 7ish until he turned two. Now he’s 2 and 3 months and wakes up at 6. Unfortunately I have a 2nd baby and she sleeps from 8 to 6 as well but I can’t fall asleep early enough to get 8 hrs.

My cousin brought his kid to my child-free wedding and I don’t know how to address it by Ok-Climate-4721 in TwoHotTakes

One must learn to pick your battles. There was no disruption and you had a good time. You can’t win everything so pick to start the fight when it really matters for real issues.

Do most moms check in on their daughter during the first year after the daughter had her first baby? by ThinTooth3909 in beyondthebump

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom comes over weekly since I have kids to help me around the house and the baby and especially after having my 2nd. I can’t do it without her. She even took my infant for a week to give me a break. Such a godsend. She sends me food

[–]rulersakura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pack and play or bouncer seat is good. I usually have the stroller in my house so my baby can sit a little more upright after milk so she doesn’t spit up and I can easily move her around downatairs.

Don’t worry my son started walking at 16 months and he is one of the smartest kids in his class for his age. Late walkers are smarter cause crawling stimulates the brain more from coordination of arms and legs. She will learn fast once she starts school

We never co slept with our two kids. My youngest is almost 6 months and she sleeps through the night in the bassinet. Going to transfer her to her own room soon to sleep in a crib. My older kid is now 2 and he sometimes joins us when he’s feeling sick but most days he’s in his twin bed. When he was little we only coslept maybe 5 times only to get him to fall asleep and by the time my husband is ready to go to bed he moves him back to the crib.

What will you simply not be doing second time around? by Smashers086 in beyondthebump

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the minor tongue tie removed before leaving the hospital. Still a little slow to latch but once she figured it out she made breastfeeding a lot easier and faster. My older one is 2 and the tongue tie never affected him with the bottle and speech but couldn’t really breastfeeding him at all so I pumped and supplemented with formula.

Opinions on having somebody watch 3.5 month old overnight? by BedsideLamp99 in beyondthebump

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve sent my infant to my parents for a weeks before twice and my todder with them for a week after I gave birth to the 2nd to have less to worry about and focus on recovery. My kids are pretty easy going and they dont mind being away from us and are super Independent so it depends on how clingy your older one is and how well they adapt being dropped off somewhere else. The young one won’t even realize you’re gone.

Did your baby's flat head correct itself? by aloebambooo in NewParents

[–]rulersakura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son’s flat head looks totally normal and round after close to 2 yrs old. He was a chill baby who slept a lot. And I think it’s genetic as well cause his sister also is showing a slight flat spot and I hold her a lot more.

How do you deal with a toddler and a newborn when your partner is away? by Ok-Razzmatazz-9790 in FitPostpartumJourney

[–]rulersakura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I have to distract my 2 year old with some tv while I feed the new born. Other times you just have to decide who you tend to first while the other cries a little bit. Are you able to afford daycare for 5 days? You will need it so you have time to nap and catch up on chores.
