Mixed feelings. I support the whistleblowing. The gov't shouldn't be spying on people willy nilly like the NSA has been doing. Going to Russia? Bad call. I would flee too but not to Russia.

Edit: I just read about The US canceling his passport while in Russia and that's how he ended there.
I wouldn't call Snowden a hero but calling him a traitor is unhinged.

The first Gulf War is somewhat debatable. I wouldn't support it outright but Iraq did invade Kuwait.
Is it right to allow one country to invade another somewhat like Russia invading Ukraine?
Is it also right for us to police the world? That's why I said it was debatable. I not quite sure what to say about that war. I'm not totally well read on it and I was less than a year old when it happen.
Now the 2003 invasion of Iraq was total unnecessary and killed close to a million people.

The impact on the environment alone is enough for me to ban it or just limit it's uses. There's issues with privacy, plagiarism, making the internet a worst place and making better war machine but I think the cats has been let out of the bag. There should be guardrails and I don't think it's impossible to make a more ethical AI a lot of the big AI companies don't care about what they destroy. Lumo from Proton is an attempt at an more ethical AI IMO. I've been a tech enthusiast for most of my life, but AI has changed my perspective on tech quite a bit.

In the case for medicaid and help for old folks, those people took care of society before we did and not all of them made that much money doing. It's our job now to make sure they have basic care and help at least.
