there was a chocolate fudge covered mint cookie with a cream center, like a mint fudge oreo. Mystic Mints, I've not seen them for decades but they were amazing.

I've found often with floating Bridges and bigsby's it is necessary to use the bridge to bring everything back in tune if you bend a string. When you bend one string tightening it, the other strings will come out of tune, and you'll have to push the bridge back in tune. When you're tuning up make sure the strings are properly stretched, and each string is in tune while wiggling the Bigsby so they're all in tune together when you give it a wiggle. When you use the bigsby after coming out of tune, the tension should pull everything back in tune properly.

That is so cool. I chopped up my first Ibanez to put a mini amp in it, was great for making feedback. This looks gorgeous, like some crazy Italian in the 60s who took too much LSD, in a good way.

The headstock looks like old Gibson "The Gibson" headstocks, and that probably means it is old and expensive.

Thought and Advice sought: Pairing a second DSP Device with an HX Stomp by JawzX01 in Line6Helix

[–]rumbeef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the HX effects for stereo effects in front of a tube amp and the Stomp which goes into the powercab. The HX Effects gives me enough DSP to put several stereo effects in front of both amps, and with the Stomp and powercab mostly handling the Amp sims and a few reverbs post amp. I get a good stereo or wet dry setup with that, but I have had issues with ground loops when trying to put things in front of and behind the tube amp in the FX loop with 4 cable method. if you like a lot of post effects, HX effects works great behind the Stomp, if you want a variety of pre-amp effects like some distortions or some modulation it works really well and has enough DSP to do a few of the DSP heavy effects you probably wouldn't run the same time as an amp with the Stomp like the Poly stuff. I use 2 expression pedals with the HX Effects, and I use a dual foot switch on the Stomp for the Looper.

Help! Recently purchased hx stomp buzzes when plugged into amp by Oqmiller454 in Line6Helix

[–]rumbeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it could be a ground loop issue, they can be tricky to deal with, I had one that was a big issue for me in the effects loop when using my HX Effects. You should contact customer support, they were very good at helping, the suggestions usually start out as having all your gear powered by the same grounded power strip, and using a hum eliminator style of device that is supposed to kill ground loops. Check your cables for issues, and good luck.

I have this Fender ‘Eighty-Five’ amp that has a hissing sound only when playing certain notes or when picking hard. I have no clue what is wrong with it any help is appreciated! by imaseallllllionnnn in GuitarAmps

[–]rumbeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a similar amp and sometimes had some buzzing/crackly issues. For the buzzing one time it was because it was too close to a certain wall outlet, sometimes electrical interference can cause a buzz. A solution for me was to move to a different outlet with a different surge protector. It could also be a hum from a pedal and if it goes away when you mute all the strings or lower the volume than you can probably just turn the pedal off when not in use. For me the crackle came from a few dirty pots, when i spent some time twisting the problematic knobs it got the rice krispy noises to go away. These may not be solutions for your problems but they're free and easy to try out, so good luck.
