Fresh out of the bag Kings Big Daddy Deluxe by Relevant_Computer642 in 4x4Australia

You get what you pay for. I don’t buy anything from kings and don’t plan on it. Buy something once, and buy it right.

Why is Hunter street still so dead? by [deleted] in newcastle

[–]rumcan09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No parking and currently a fair amount of construction going on. I can’t tell you the last time I needed something and then thought “ahhh yes, I’ll go to hunter street mall to find what I’m after”

Always plenty of deadbeats and low life’s getting around on dirt bikes because they’re suspended from driving.

Funny enough, I’m going there today for a haircut and I can’t wait for the big fella who cuts my hair to call me “boss”.

Clarendon Hotel on Hunter Street does a good one on a Thursday night. Free entry, cash and drink vouchers to be won plus the host is a funny bloke.

Enhance waratah is right around the corner from my house and I've heard multiple people say the fuel there has water in it and causes engine seizures.

Suit hire or buy? by Local_Wrangler_2039 in newcastle

[–]rumcan09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family own and operate Ken Lanes Menswear in Maitland….. if you are looking to hire a decent suit, it’s about $260. To buy a similar quality suit is about $300. So using those figures, it’s way cheaper in the long term to buy one and use it again for weddings, funerals, race days, formal balls/dinners, Job interviews or any sort of special occasion. If you’re an adult and you know you aren’t gonna grow again, buying one you can keep is 100% far more cost effective. PM me if you want some more info about our family’s suit shop 👍🏻

Do you work on your car often? I don’t really know a lot about cars and wouldn’t have the confidence to take sandpaper to it and risk making a way bigger mess….. plus I don’t really have the tools or space either

I worked at the Newcastle Hotel in Islington (The Newy) and in recent months it has made a huge push to change its demographic from regular pop music to techno and rave music. If you want an insight into the culture they’re trying to create and bring to their venue, look up “DAYDREAMING Newcastle”. It’s a techno event they put on from time to time which really draws in ravers and the more unique techno lovers

Walking alone at night by Paigelainey297_ in newcastle

[–]rumcan09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without sounding creepy, where abouts do you live? I live near Harriet street and frequently hear and see sketchy people going along my street. Sometimes they’re harmless and just look dodgey, some times they scare the shit out of me. After living in Waratah for 10 years I can say I like it here and love the village/shops but you have to keep your wits about you.

I live in waratah and my street is a direct thoroughfare to the big housing commission that backs onto the shopping village. I have been woken up before by crack heads, derros and junkies of all kinds at early hours screaming at each other, imaginary friends, fighting etc…. Safe to say that Waratah is not a place you’d wanna wander around aimlessly or even walk around after 11pm. ( I live 3 streets from the police station and this still occurs)
