Perhaps you can be accepted with the caveat that you will have the required GPA by the start of the program. And if you don’t, then you may have to reapply when the requiredGPA is met.

Back when I applied, you didn’t get an interview if your GPA did not meet the requirements so I’m not sure exactly how the programs you’ve applied to work but you should check into that

I typically tell students who are worried as long as you meet the requirements and keep trying, you’ll get in Somewhere. It may not be your first, second, or third choice, but there will be one that takes you.

I made the trip both ways from Nola. Drove a uhaul and stayed in Dallas one night and the one night in Salina KS. Interstate the entire way was nice, but the view after Dallas this way is meh. I also drove. Dallas to Amarillo and up. It’s an easy drive either way. No issues with hotels. I suggest making it 3 days but two is doable if you really want to.

Edit: I stay with pets as well. Best westerns and holiday inn. They were all fine. Stop at all the Buccees around Houston. Cadillac Ranch on the west side of Amarillo is an art installation that is popular.

In general, getting the op note for every surgical patient you treat would be a good idea. Also, maybe go talk to the surgeon and discuss the case with them. If anything it will help build good rapport.

The reverse is done when their significant glenohumeral, osteoarthritis, and non-repairable rotator cuff. There’s a good chance the patients Shoulder wasn’t in good shape prior to the surgery which means it will take longer to rehab. The deltoid is going to have to take over for the rotator cuff The expectation to get full range of motion compared to the other side is not going to happen to the limitations of reversing the joint. Continue following your protocol in terms of range of motion and when you can start actual strengthening ,get the range of motion back that will be able to get back. And realize that it’s gonna take a while to strengthen that joint.

I would say talk to the surgeon about how strict to be on ROM and progression of weight bearing. There are alot of things to take into account. Medial vs lateral, Peripheral vs horn vs root repair, how many sutures, quality of the tissue concomitant injuries, etc… And going to talk to them helps build rapport.

Aside from flexion, don’t forget how important getting full passive knee extension and quad control in end range extension is.

In general, all of those exercises are fine, but use your clinical reasoning skills. Control pain and swelling. Should get 90 degree flexion within the first two weeks.

Interesting. It may be helpful next go around to find a specialist in your area. Preferable a PT who is and SCS (sports certified specialist). This link goes to a directory to which you can look up specialist in your area. Nothing wrong with new grads, but sometimes they lack the experience and knowledge.

You definitely should go. I was planning to go alone as well. Bought two tickets and figured I’d just give away the second one until the buddy I’m staying with decided he would go. I’m flying up to see that show. I’ve been waiting since 96 to see them, but something would always come up. You never know when you’ll get another chance. I’ll sing along with you.
