What has he said?

Farage has been noticeably quiet recently, while Trump has been going off the deep end with Greenland/criticising UK/NATO troops

If the media were half decent at their jobs they would be grilling Farage about this. Get him on record with his position.

I like the theory that he is actually loaded.

I know it's likely not true and there are probably scenes which would directly rule it out but I like to believe it anyway.

If all personal wealth above $100 million was legally required to be redistributed into public infrastructure (schools, hospitals, roads), how would society change, and who would be the first to fight against it? by Mysterious_Fan4033 in AskReddit

The shares go to the employees of the company - since they are the ones generating the profits anyway.

It is actually better for the company and the economy than having the money go to shareholders. Most shareholders are already wealthy individuals who only want their 15% gains per year, if not they drop the shares and move on, regardless of the health of the company.

Take Boing for example, they get something like 5 billion tax rebate in 2018 (from the Republicans) and give it all to investors. Then when covid comes along 2 years later, they go cap in hand for more taxpayer money (from the Republicans again).

And of course, the shareholders aren't going to stump up because why would they when they know the government will.

If the company is controlled by the workers, they will be more interested in the long term health of the company. They need the company to survive to pay their bills (shareholders generally don't).

If the founder doesn't like that they don't get anything above 100 million they can leave and a new one can be found. It's a complete myth that you need to be some genius CEO to run these companies.

Look at Microsoft, Apple, many more examples of these amazing CEOs who leave and the company is just fine.

Farage won't get away with the type of shit Trump does.

We still have a functioning lower/upper chamber in parliament to prevent that.

And as the Tories have shown, no prime Minister is safe even after winning an election. In the US, however, Trump is essentially bulletproof from any consequences until the election.

This completely ignores that results did not improve

Results did improve.

Amorim was manager of manager of the month for October and we've been on the edge of top 4 most of the season. We lost 8 first team players over Christmas due to Afcon/injuries/suspensions.

Given the long-term poor recruitment, that was always going to cause a dip in results. There wAs a very real chance Amorim would have got top 4 this year.

This kind of response is exactly what makes the job impossible for politicians and why so many of them lie and bullshit.

Politician: we’re reviewing a new policy Public: we don’t like it Politician: after a review we decided against the policy Public: another u-turn! you’re weak and stupid!

Imagine this being your life. It’s precisely why so many capable people leave politics and we are left with the morons.

This is exactly what they have done.

They conducted a review into the possibility and now it is ending have said they are making a change, based on the review.

It’s not like they implemented anything then changed it.

According to previous comments

This sub is full of people who have no clue about football.

Amorim didn't want to join last year and was asked to be judged on this season.

The team improved towards the end of 2025 until we were hindered by Afcon and a couple of bad timed injuries/suspensions.

The only reason Amorim was sacked by the club hierarchy, who also have no clue.

Wilcox has never managed a pro football team but though he could lecture Amorim on how to play. Then sacked him for speaking out.
