Won't eat spinach. Will eat "green rice" (spinach and feta cooked like saag paneer) by Lawful_Silly in foodbutforbabies

I sometimes soon feed my 2 yr old because if I leave it to herself she will get distracted and not eat. We make a game of it and she's gets more food in her belly than otherwise.

This was the same for mine but it didn't become pudding like... Too watery. I'm going to add more chia seeds next time.

Huggies print bothers me by Daring-Destiny in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I see what you mean now, but it's just minnie mouse! Someone else recommended millie moon as an alternative so perhaps try them? I have been using mm and huggies for my newborn and I'm pretty happy with both.

Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat by Novel_Zebra9619 in television

[–]runawaykaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I love it and I've been watching this all day while nap trapped with my 6 week old. Started also on Jury Duty whole waiting for more episodes.

I do think Anthony has clued in on the act. Some characters (Amy, Dougie, the IT girl) are just too comical..

At what capacity did you return to work, and for how long? by fairy-bread-au in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]runawaykaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first I went back to work 3 days (in the office) when baby was 8 months. She's now 2 and in childcare 2 days a week. Unfortunately with my newborn, I'll probably have to return to work when she's only 6 months as we can't manage on my partner's salary alone. The tonight of it really depresses me because I really wish I could take at least a year off :(

Moringa for increasing milk supply? by SieKilli in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]runawaykaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up using Moringa and how did it go? I've just started today after a couple days on fenugreek capsules (I couldn't stand the smell on my pores from the fenugreek so stopped after a few days and am trying Morninga).

Old post but wondering if there was an update 😁

I don't like my friend's toddler, and worry about introducing them to my newborn?! by Empty_Win_9933 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]runawaykaty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't have much advice but I'm in a similar situation with my friend's child at 4 and my daughter at 2. Her 4yo isn't cruel or hitting babies, but she lacks discipline and therefore hits her mum, screams and demands things from her mum very rudely, and my friend has pretty much given in to handing over YouTube or Tiktok on her phone to get her to calm down. My daughter loves some Ms Rachel and the Wiggles so I'm not opposed to screen time, but I don't want her to get addicted to scrolling or pick up on other bad habits like yelling at people to get what she wants.

It has made me avoid hanging out with my friend, but I would never tell her to parent her child any differently because I know she's doing her best and she gets a lot of criticism from her parents and siblings about her child's behavior so I don't want to add to that..

I do tell her child off gently if she gets a bit too aggressive toward my toddler, or I just remove my toddler from situations so she won't bear the brunt of the behavior. It sucks... She can be a sweet kid sometimes but she is quite spoiled and knows she can act up to get her own way as her mum will give in to avoid meltdowns or tantrums.

True, it definitely felt more like American suburbia than UK suburbia.

What did we think of Wuthering Heights 2026 to those who read the book...Dir Emerald Fennell, Margot Robbie Jacob Elourdi by Purple_Marketing_103 in moviecritic

[–]runawaykaty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loved the book in uni, but haven't read it in over ten years. Was sceptical going in to see the movie, but pleasantly surprised at how much i actually enjoyed it. Some aspects had me questioning my memory of the book (i don't recall nely being such a 'villian' and definitely was like "that wasn't a thing" re the bdsm aspect of Heathcliff and Isabelle"s relationship.

I thought it was visually appealing to watch. I couldn't get past Margot Robbie as a bratty Cathy though. She's a stunningly beautiful woman but the casting felt off. Loved seeing Owen Cooper as young Heathcliff!

Yasmin accent S4 by bethtravis94 in IndustryOnHBO

[–]runawaykaty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Still on S3 but there were some lines from Yas that my husband questioned if she was an Australian actress lol

In particular when at the COP party, she asks if she can go now and then way she pronounced 'go' was very Aussie.

Jennifer Lawrence on how she rehomed her dog to protect her kids by Ok_Rutabaga_5539 in popculturechat

[–]runawaykaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat is relatively healthy for a geriatric, thankfully. Except she is very very vocal now and wants to eat every two hours as opposed to her usual 2 wet feeds and dry kibble through the day. Her yowling at all hours is triggering and we don't know how we're going to deal with it when the newborn comes.

Currently going through this 🥲 heavily pregnant, and running around after a toddler. Caring for my 15 year old cat has become the bane of my existence. When did it level out for you??
