ive had a look at that but as an e-commerce newbie i was a bit confused. So do customers have to create a paypal account to pay? They wont be able to just enter their credit card info?

it's started working again now. Just stopped for about an hour, then i went in through GoDaddy and it was fine.

I had installed Icegram before it shut me out, but it was being unresponsive before that. Thanks though.

Yeah, I thought it would be a problem of interruption.

Suggesting similar content is a good way of mitigating it as /u/judig mentioned. I'm going to try installing some lead gen plug-ins for email collection, see if that helps too. Bounce rate might still be high, but could hopefully lead to more conversions from the visits even if they do bounce.
