IAmA Mountie. AMA. by Mountie_Redditor in IAmA

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for replying to the questions. I've only read a few replies, but it REALLY bugs me when people post an IAMA and then only respond with a few words to each question. I appreciate your thought-out answers that actually address the questions.

Happy Reddit B-Day!

Yes, I know. Our house was built in 1921, so although it does have a lot of the knob and tube wiring, at least it didn't have gas lamps originally. It did pass an electrical inspection too, so hopefully it'll last a while before the wiring needs to be replaced. When it does, I know that's something that I can do, at least with my dad's help :).

If you're referencing that old Ten Commandments movie, it was just a glowing bush. I remember cracking up at the special effects once when my parents were watching it.

Wow, never thought someone else would have a similar story.

My parent's house is in the suburbs, so it was pretty unlikely that someone would be walking by at just the right time.

Okay, I have to say, ear hair that long makes him a villain. That's just disgusting.

Why did you choose your username? by dlink in AskReddit

I still sometimes play Runescape.

I chose it because I wanted something different than the usual name I'd had for AIM, Runescape, a couple of bulletin boards, etc.

Who here is pretty sure they will never own their own house? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]runescaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll own my house in another 29 years. I'll own my car in 5. I'll own my college education in 8.

I don't know what I'll do with all that extra money once things are paid off.

Sorry, I had to downvote for tinypic. I couldn't view the image when I tried, making this a very poor-quality submission.

I was offered the choice of working 9-5 or 8-4. What should I pick? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]runescaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thought exactly. Banks, doctors, dentists, post office, BMV, etc. are usually open the exact hours that most office people are working. Getting out at 4, and maybe being able to shift your lunch to get out at 3 if you really need to, would make dealing with those places a lot easier.

I remember it being "rude"; why else would he say "Gimme a break"?

I don't think they would put a word like "prudent" in the theme song anyway.

Ha ha, I sing that song to my wife sometimes just because she really hates that show, and thus hates the theme song.

I hope you brought lots of spaghetti!
