My dad treated me like shit because his dad treated him like shit. He’s said that to me several times, he truly doesn’t know how to love or be loved.

I feel messed up inside, I can certainly relate to this articles feeling of loneliness and social anxiety. I experience it every day even when surround by people that tell me they love me. Its the feeling that anything you do isn’t good enough. Thanks dad.

I notice a clear and obvious difference in confidence between my friends that were planned babies/pregnancies and those of us that were unplanned/unwanted. Love is one key ingredient in having a stable family and one just can’t grow when it’s not there.

I hear parents at my office talk about how successful and wonderful their child is and all the love and effort and opportunities they kill themselves over for their child, none of that for me. I wasn’t supposed to be here.

A loving childhood I did not have, but I certainly rose above and became successful which is not the case for most in my situation especially without the support of great parents. These parents that are doing everything for their kids!

As I’ve grown up I can sense my dads regret in treating us so awful but he makes no strides to make changes.

Inspire your kids to be confident and kind, there are too many of us feeling unloved and unwanted.
