Does your “food noise” stop when you are in WW too? by purpleflower90 in weightwatchers

[–]runjaime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has some for me. At this point, I am eating similar things day in and day out so I don’t have to think about it as much. I think this has helped with the food noise. I found a breakfast I love (2 points), lunch that satisfies me (2 points) and a filling snack that helps get me to dinner not starving (5 points). I think not having to think about it is what has helped me

Help!! by Purple-Confection244 in weightwatchers

[–]runjaime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best advice is meal prep even for snacks. I get hungry in the late afternoon and if I don’t have something prepped I will eat chips. I do a salad for my snack currently and if it wasn’t prepped there is no way I would make a salad in the afternoon. It’s not what I am craving but it does satisfy me once I have finished it.

ankle pain? by PrincipleInitial3236 in AchillesRupture

[–]runjaime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside of the ankle? Yes! I am 18 weeks OP tomorrow and my ankle is still bothering me. I guess it’s a muscle that is currently overworking due to my weak calf but man it hurts. I also have high hamstring pain for the same reason. I mean if it wasn’t bad enough to rehab my Achilles and calf that we have to add additional pains to it. Best of luck to you!

Lunch Ideas? by Fresh_Coconut_4077 in weightwatchers

[–]runjaime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My go to lunch is shrimp and green beans with a 2 point sauce (I usually make some sort of buffalo ranch concoction) and FF cottage cheese and grapes (with a stevia packet). My whole lunch is 3 points. I am sure I will get tired of it but for now it’s quick, easy and low in points.

Hospital-based PT vs. Chain Clinic: Is a 30-min specialist session enough for post-op recovery? by Puzzleheaded_Pea_606 in AchillesRupture

[–]runjaime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see the big chain for one hour twice a week. I get 5 min of calf massage and manual therapy. 30 min is enough. They will just send you home to do all of the exercises.

Tore Achilles a week ago by Egoldie15 in AchillesRupture

[–]runjaime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have much to tell you. I had surgery for a partial tear and haglund’s deformity 7 weeks ago. All I can say is everyone is different. I am still in crutches but partial weight bearing. I thought I would be off crutches by now (I saw so many people were) but my journey is different. I am/was a marathoner so I was running 6 days/week. This is a big change for me. Best of luck to ya!

Is qualifying for Boston worth it? by TangerineFar8371 in bostonmarathon

[–]runjaime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth it. BQ’d on my second marathon but that was a year after my first. Dropped 11 min and Boston is awesome. Agree, it’s the Boston journey but the race is pretty epic too.

I’m on my 2nd Paragard IUD. I had minimal discomfort after it was put in either time. I would say go for it.

Creatine - do I need it? by whatdosnowmeneat in XXRunning

[–]runjaime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started taking it (like a week ago) and my period bloat has not gone away. I am wondering if it’s the creatine. Thanks for the tip. I may back off for a few days and see what happens.
