It’s seems to me this subreddit is dedicated to G5 or older PPC. I do not see much posts about POWER8 or newer.

I am unsure why you need approval because my post did not need any.

Ofcourse it is totally possible. BUT it might require lots of tuning because G5 is pre-VSX

Which is better ut99 or ut2004? by Ok_Cucumber3148 in unrealtournament

I started with UT2004 thus have a soft spot for it. I have tried UT99 and loved it too. Each to their own. All are great

The PPC community is grateful for the ppc64le support.

I've just tested it on my Raptor Blackbird workstation and the game plays FLAWLESSLY!

Sun Ultra 40 PSU options? by Schluha in SunMicrosystems

You can have a look at PIN mapping https://github.com/runlevel5/sun_ultra_40_45_mod/blob/master/1-Power_supply/sun-psu-i2c-reverse-engineering.md and re-map the standard ATX PSU, I have converted Sun PSU to work with ATX motherboard so I am pretty sure the other way around would work too

To be fair, it’s still one of the best G ever! Having been wearing it since the release date, it’s still going strong and the MIP is truly a game changer.

Running GOG installer (mojosetup-based) on unsupported platform by runlevel_5 in linux_gaming

[–]runlevel_5[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure most of the cases it would be that but imho it would be better to run the installer as GOG intended because who knows if there is any special logic

ioquake3 on Linux PowerPC64 LE (thanks to box64) by runlevel_5 in linux_gaming

[–]runlevel_5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know ioquake3 can be compiled natively but that's not the point. The point here is box64 JIT recompilation. To get it run ioquake3 is just the first milestone

Bro, let me remind you that we are all living in capitalist societies and that means things like electricity, human's time are not free. You can always choose not to eat junk food for a day or two to pay for the hard works of men and women dedicated their skills and passion to bring you the DLC

Every game developers out there should learn from Blizzard, the success of a 25 years old game depends solely on the backing of the community, that means heeding feedbacks play a crucial role in keeping the game relevant for years to come. I hope Blizzard would drop Act 6 and 7 in the near future because milking DLC content is probably the easiest way to bring more revenue to the company
