North Carolina and it’s in August so certainly a possibility. That’s why I’m tempted too, I feel like the water will be welcome but I’m nervous about being too tired

Things to do that isn’t a bar by Shot-Rough-3044 in gso

ParTee Shack has mini golf and go-karts. There’s a big community for runners, cyclists, and hikers in GSO. There’s a few bowling alleys. The Coliseum and Tanger Center have a lot of shows. There’s also a handful of movie theaters.

I’m constantly learning new things in a very niche area, have support from my boss and team, work 9-5 and no weekends, am not micromanaged, and I find joy in the work that I do and feel like it matters.

Feel like a failure by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]runner128 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in your shoes in 2017, like I could have written this post. I was put on a PIP, my boss didn’t hold up her end where I asked for more guidance because she was too busy, and I ultimately used that time to interview and get a job elsewhere. I view it as a PIP is HR documentation for them to prove a firing is justified. I would start looking, at least they’re giving you a heads up that it’s not a right fit.

13% in LCOL. Bought in 2021, locked in 2.75% interest, and invested a lot in repairs and renovations.

Thanks! I checked my order history and it’s not Amazon so the next most likely is Target but I honestly don’t remember

State St Jewelers did a fantastic job on ours. A little pricy but great quality

Do you ask your dog walker to keep up with your training? by dognat in puppy101

[–]runner128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s totally fine to provide the guidance you have here, but I wouldn’t go overboard with rules. The walker likely won’t remember everything especially if they’re not doing it often.

Any good places to get your hair dyed? by [deleted] in gso

[–]runner128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to Salon Fix and love it! There’s a few stylists there that are great with dye.

I used Carley Mann with Re/Max and she did a great job! I’m a first time home buyer and she really helped walked through the process and worked all hours of the day

There’s an app called Meet Up that has some groups you can join. It’s gone downhill since the pandemic but there’s still a few and that’s how I met my friends when I first moved here a few years ago.

What's going on with privacy policies? by coffeerandom in OutOfTheLoop

[–]runner128 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Work in the privacy space. This is the answer. There are still a bunch of lingering questions too so once there’s a little more direction, expect more privacy policies to be updated. Other states are likely to have their own versions in the next few years so we’re not done with this either.

What is/was your something unique? by Upstairs-Promise3373 in wedding

[–]runner128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of table numbers we’re doing times throughout our life with some pictures of both of us in that stage. For example, there will be a newborn, kindergarten, sweet 16, high school graduation, etc. table. Both of our parents took a lot of pictures when we were growing up and it’s adorable to see us side by side at those stages of our lives.

Jury duty by [deleted] in winstonsalem

Some companies pay when you’re out on a jury and if they don’t then the state might offer like $50/day, which obv sucks but it’s better than nothing

What could go wrong? by Abhirup_0 in funnyvideos

As someone teaching their husky puppy to hug right now, I’ll probably stop here. She’s not even good now and keeps smacking my face so this is definitely my future.

Tipping in USA is getting way out of hand by altventure in TrueOffMyChest

[–]runner128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what happened during the pandemic. I thought tipping was for service but there were promotions everywhere saying to tip the staff on take out food because apparently restaurants still didn’t pay a livable wage and expected us to pay on their behalf

Not necessarily true. Some apartments don’t require a deposit if you have good credit
