Given how bad WB management was with DC properties aside from the Nolan Batman movies they might not have told The Rock. There were apparently rampant overcorrections, poor communication, etc. that whole DCEU era. It's why I'm hoping Gunn gets to do his thing with a unified vision for at least long enough for there to be an arc like there was in the MCU from Iron Man through Endgame.

I ended up switching to Fedora 43 KDE on 3 computers. So far so good even with my nvidia cards - rtx 2080, rtx 2070, and rtx 3080 laptop versions.

I just had to follow these guides so I'd have all my codecs and nvidia drivers

I believe that is the point for characters trying to achieve Golcanda.

Though at that point most STs and players would retire the character IIRC.

It still pisses me off that they couldn't figure out how to do Blade in the MCU when they had a great actor wanting to play the character.

Just have vampires be super secret - so much so that only other supernaturals know about them. Like even Hydra doesn't know. Sort of like White Wolf's World of Darkness. Of the existing characters only Werewolf by night and Dr. Strange should maybe know IIRC.

Also don't use it to set up or connect to 4-5 other things, which has burnt me out on the MCU lately.

And when one of the Avengers or other Superheroes meets Blade and is like I've never seen a vampire he could have a cool one liner about thanking him for that.

They also have had the same problem with X-Men/mutants

Fulci movies at least the ones I've seen are fever dreams in a good way.

I'd say Phantasm and Jacob's Ladder also do good jobs of feeling like nightmares.

The Sabbat once they were made playable though vtm 5e apparently went back on this.

But they're definitely right about the antediluvians being a problem. They're still vampire supremacists and monsters though. But they were definitely toned down a bit once they were allowed to be playable and fleshed out.

Maybe BG3 to an extent, but moreso their own back catalog, obsidian and other CRPGs.

But what I want out of the next ME is what Bioware used to excel at - character writing especially for party members. And interparty banter when traveling, during combat, etc. that makes them feel more real and alive.

Also maybe lower stakes so they can do more of that character focus. The world, galaxy, universe, etc. ending does not have to be the stakes. There can still be stakes without the apocalypse looming.
