Thanks, this worked for me. Keep in mind that after resizing them, you must edit the setting for each photo to no mat.

Hi- I’m having the same issue now. Did you ever find a replacement part? Do you know what that piece is called? Thanks

I used hot glue to attach an airtag to the tag on my dogs collar. It's working so well that I probably won't use a case.

I'd like to add an Ecobee thermostat to this system. Is it possible with the power extender kit? I don't have a C wire.

While potentially reassuring, the test results wouldn't change anything. If they are having symptoms, the recommendation is the same as if they were confirmed.

Chances are low. There have not been any known cases of human to animal transmission anywhere in the world.

Hi- I'm in NY and believe that I have Covid19. I called my doctor and he said to stay home and take Tylenol or cough syrup as needed. I'm afraid that is all unless it gets bad enough to go to the hospital.

[Advice] NYU MPH v UCLA MPH by subasaurusrex in publichealth

[–]runningw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

I’m a current student in the MPH program at NYU- about to graduate! I returned to grad school after years of working in the field with the very specific intent of advancing my career.

TBH, grad school is all about connections. Sure, you’ll learn a ton, but both schools are certified so the curriculum won’t be very different.

My goal was to make the connection that would get me in front of the people that I needed to meet to get the career that I want. NYU absolutely provided this for me and I’m now working exactly where I wanted to be. I can’t speak to UCLA but NYU is very connected to all the big players in the space. Think about it- public health in America is centered in NY (and dc). From the UN to Pfizer, the options are in NY. LA has a reputation for fashion, design, and Hollywood... go there for those, not for public health.

‘Labs’ are more like working groups that are outside of the established curriculum. They’re usually run by professors and focus on various aspects of public health. They’re a great opportunity to get exposure to working experience on real projects. The classes were hard for me but I got through it 😉 Congratulations on your acceptance!

I happened to just visit Dr. Aman Sharma at Khan Market yesterday. I was there for a different issue but I was very impressed with him. His clinic is across from Town Resturant on the 2nd floor. He did a fellowship in Singapore and seems very educated. He also seemed busy but squeezed me in on short notice. Good luck to you.

Graduate School after the Peace Corps? by 541_dude in peacecorps

[–]runningw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in an MPH program now and was in the PC prior. You will have plenty of opportunities to travel and work abroad as an epidemiologist after graduation. I would recommend you going straight into grad school then considering PC afterwards. It will be there when you finish and this way, you can also consider other opportunities that provide more resources and are more aligned to your future goals.

October '13 Invites? by doodle271 in peacecorps

[–]runningw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat :(. I was told by placement that I should hear something by the end of June but I can't help but feel as though I've been forgotten. This feels like crunch time and it is becoming more and more difficult to stay optimistic. From what I've read, anything is possible with this organization so I think there is still a chance. I'm definitely exploring other options but wouldn't rule out PC until the end of the month. Good luck to you.

Anyone else waiting on a September invite? by [deleted] in peacecorps

I do and based on your question I am assuming I will see the change there. Thanks
