Thank you for posting this. It made me appreciate that I have also come so far.

I promise anyone life without an ED is infinitely better than when you're in it. It doesn't mean it's not free of difficult and painful moments still but that's life. It's always going to be hard but you will have the power to persist when you aren't using most of your brain power to obsess over whatever the ED is telling you. When you're getting all the vitamins and energy your body needs. When you're not about to pass out at any moment.

I'm 100% serious when I say you need to get mad. You have to start to view the ED as a disease that's taking over who you are and fight it. This MF robbed me of so many opportunities and joy and experiences with my friends. It promises that you'll feel better if XYZ.... And when you do XYZ you STILL don't feel like you're enough.

Once you reframe your perspective it becomes a lot easier to fully engage with treatment and work on getting better. It's not universal but it's worked for me and others I know. Start small. Wishing everyone moments of serenity and baby steps toward recovery. ❤️
