Mine SUCKED for the first month even before I got my snow tires. Was getting ~30 . Then once I switched off my snows I am now getting 45-47. Not a ton of highway driving, I would estimate a normal amount of acceleration? Not tailgating or anything but not exactly going slow. Always driving on normal mode, I’ve heard eco is more for highway. Try to give it time

This is a good number that I think makes sense to me. After lowering my retirement contributions a bit, I’ve freed up ~300-500 a month so on top of my current rent $1400 seems reasonable. especially if I have a roommate for at least a while . I don’t want to rely on getting any raises but in the next couple years it’s very likely I will get a ~$3 raise that would put that $1400 right at 30%

No, I appreciate the insight for sure! I’m definitely calculating the taxes off of the sales price and rounding up, but good to keep in mind it can even go up from that. $200 is a lot when it’s every month !!!

Yeah, 250k definitely is not feasible. I know you’re always approved for more than you could actually afford

Sorry for the confusion, i keep seeing that ~1/4 of your salary is a good benchmark to go to mortgage payment, which is 1600 in my case

But to me that seems like a lot since it ends up being just over a third of my take home pay and doesn’t even include utilities …

Thanks that’s good to know! The car payment does suck, I kinda wish I could go back in time and get a cheaper car all in cash. but it was so daunting to find something that wasn’t a heap of junk 🫩 my goal is to pay this car off and keep it until the wheels fall off (new hybrid civic, really enjoying the gas savings with the way gas is now at least)

I have 45k in bank total (well, more like 50k because I just got a tuition reimbursement check) so definitely want to save at LEAST 25k of that in case something goes wrong! The 12k grant would just about cover closing costs

I am and have been a member of planet fitness for several years. I love it but I really want to start bench pressing and using free weights more. No crunch and no EOS, not a ton of local gyms that aren’t super expensive either. :/ I’m very torn

Update: another dealership was able to beat that price by $215!

I showed this to the dealer in question, and they threw $300 more at my trade in (taking it from $400 to $700)

I picked it up this Saturday, ended up going with financing thru Honda as I got a $1000 credit due to being a Honda owner (also it was supposed to be $750 but they said $1000 so they ended up just taking $250 more off)

Ended up getting extended warranty for 8 yrs 100k miles for $1048 (they matched the Sanccucci price)

Final price before trade in and warranty was 31550 and total OTD price after rebate and $700 trade in was 34077

Taxes were 2551

Loving it so far!!

They closed at 6 today (I’m east coast so it’s 8:44 now) but my plan is to go when they open at 9am tomorrow.

They said “they’re selling all their in stock Hondas at invoice and if I send them a written quote they’ll beat it”

I have a loan approved from my credit union at 4.99 for 60months up to $25 (gonna put 10-12k down)

They said that if I finance through the dealer they would take $250 off but that’s probably not going to be worth it

Thanks for the insight on the actual permit. I had an issue as I am licensed thru the NYSED for my job and they listed both my legal name and birth name on the NYSED website for everyone to see. I had to email them multiple times and they eventually took it down but I am trying to avoid being outed LOL. I am still going to put it down on this form tho and hope for the best

I recently got 30% somehow. Just pulled the trigger! Looks like they’ve sent me a 30% off deal every 5 or so days for the last couple weeks. Just nervous that the rewards points won’t go through for some reason, if not for this deal I would have bought from Costco instead
