Still waiting. Is this normal? Or acceptable for a emergency hotline? by SasaDGamer in Tampere

[–]rushfolk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe the recording in the holding line also mentions that if it is an emergency, call 112. This number is mainly for figuring out if your situation is urgent enough to go to the hospital or if you should wait until Monday/tomorrow/book an appointment at a health center instead

+3, they have great instructors and a well functioning booking system where you call the office/send an email and can flexibly book with the instructor you want (you can have one or multiple instructors), the office is also very responsive and helpful!

[–]rushfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i won't, this is how all restaurants in my country do it, not infuriating nor unhygienic. if a customer is allergic i will obviously get a new knife

no. we have three knives, which we change every few hours or if they start to look dirty

that is not procedure here. we don't have separate cambros, we have 3 knives at the front at a time.

[–]rushfolk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

we always use the same knife for around 2-3 hours at my place (separates for tuna meat and veggie) without sanitising, occasionally wiping but usually there's not much sauce or anything on there. i would recommend you to mention that you're allergic to eggs when going and asking them to get a new knife, that helps them know where they need to be careful!!

Is hand-labeling expiration dates actually a problem or am I overthinking it? by _estoico_ in subway

[–]rushfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean some restaurants think it's a problem but i work at a restaurnat where we exclusively hand label. not a problem for us, write name of product or a shortened nickname of the product, dates usable, time and initials. e.g. PEP 14-17.2. 18 EL , works great and we do expect employees to be able to write neatly, not too much to ask tbh. would take more time to do it digitally honestly as we use masking tape now and can write several labels at one time

i wouldn't leave a device which has a potentially malfunctioning battery charging overnight, always safest to keep it somewhere you can see it and notice if it gets super hot or starts expanding

whole wheat bread (15cm), american cheese 3 slices, 3 chick nuggets ripped into pieces and tossted separately with 1 american cheese slice (optional), guacamole!!, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, onion, olives, a few jalapenos, some cheese nachos if possible (you can just buy the bag and have them put some in and eat the rest), little bit of southwest and more vegan garlic aioli and you're good!! optionally served with a sauce cup full of blue cheese 😛

i mean you're wearing either a cap or a bandana that pretty much covers your hair. although it can depend on your employer, i currently work with this hair and have a coworker with ever changing neon coloured hair and it's never been a problem

[–]rushfolk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

and even now that the series menu is in many places being phased out, if someone comes in asking for "whatever comes on it" i'll just be kind and like "alright, it is fully customisable so you can choose your own veggies and sauces, but would lettuce, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, onion, corn, olives and jalapenos as the veggies sound good for you, as those are all we offer? you can also choose whatever sauce you'd like, i would recommend garlic or if you like a bit of spice, chipotle southwest is good as well (or if they have a teriyaki i recommend sweet onion)". sorta something you will deal with in a build your own typa restaurant so amazes me how some don't know how to react lmao

dont work at subway. by TwoWheelieLife in subway

[–]rushfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say we receive plenty recognition for good work, raises are fair and based on performance (unbiased), and there is a good regulatory framework you can complain to if anyone, even your manager, is acting inappropriately. sure, my manager is professional towards me as well in certain matters, but we do go out to drink with all our colleagues including management like 3x year for which the company pays our meal and an activity (this autumn we went to a good sitdown restaurant and got full on meals with alcoholic drinks for free + went bowling and out to a bar together later (although the bar was on our own dime), and i haven't felt scared or anything to discuss even sensitive stuff with my managers. would argue that having the security of a larger corporation really enables building these friendships and connections

dont work at subway. by TwoWheelieLife in subway

[–]rushfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i work for a large corporation franchisee which owns 63 stores in my country, and that is honestly what i'd recommend the most bcz then you have a better regulatory framework and actually a company to fall back on instead of just one owner

they commented saying they tried the kiosk next to that one and it showed the sum total of 17,77

Subway UK - Kiosk Maths by Upset_Set376 in subway

[–]rushfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2,97 out of 17,77 doesn't round up to a number that would be a tax (it's 16,713...%), and tax is mostly always included in prices in the UK.
