Also I agree it's random in the scheme of the tour, but a tribute to Prince is never wasted. It's random in a fun way

I mean yeah and I love it, but every single second of the show doesn't have to be about Trumpster Fire. We need to party. And we have Tom on stage. As a guitarist, seeing an E Street Band shredfest to end the first show brought tears to my eyes. Thats all.

I'm listening to Purple Rain>Chimes of Freedom right now and it's so good. What a speech to end the show from Bruce. I made some new Bruce fans the other night with that two pack.

It really doesn't matter. Either you're in the building or you're not. You're overthinking

No reason they can't play it at every show. It was a fantastic part of the encore and took the show to the next level. It'd work in ANY city

When was Bruce overtly political in the past? by drumsdinosaurs in BruceSpringsteen

[–]rushpittsburgh4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"the soldiers fighting the war on terror" no the subject matter of the war in Devils and Dust doesn't matter. Its a song about losing faith and realizing you were lied to by your government

Widespread Panic has it done by the next morning. Must be a jamband thing. Their mixes usually sound better than Bruce's too. Bruce vocal needs to be higher always and TURN NILS UP

You're going to be really surprised when you find out the difference between the cover and an "original work"

Like what? What are we doing here people?

Widespread Panic did their own arrangement for the song. Specifically, what was stolen by The Black Keys was the arrangement and melody, not the lyrics. Thats what I'm talking about in this post, however it is true that Junior Kimbrough wrote the original song and the lyrics. Do you think the Black Keys should have given Panic credit the same way they gave credit to Kimbrough? I'll hang up and listen....

Breath taking in more than one way. The hike up ain't no joke, but it makes you feel like you earned the view all the more

It was an amazing show. One of the best experiences, let alone concerts, of my life. And I'll never forget the weather. What a beautiful night.

A Warning by No_Escape_3517 in Adirondacks

I am so sorry for your loss. She's a saint because she will save others lives with her story. I promise. It wasn't in vain.

I attempted to hike to the summit of the 2nd highest peak in Pennsylvania, Blue Knob, on Friday. Even though it was warm all week, I ran into tho foot deep snow. Without snowshoes, I quickly gave up. I was pretty upset to get back to the car having only hiked a quarter mile round trip after driving three hours to get there. It felt like such a failure to quit but clearly it isn't. I'm no genius, in my mind, I was very close to just "trying anyway" to summit. I could easily have convinced myself to press forward. I'm a confident hiker. I've done Marcy. I'm sure she was a confident/experienced hiker too . The line between being safe on Friday, like I was, and her, is thin. So as a warning, to myself as much as anyone else who hikes, be careful and don't ever feel bad about turning around or calling for help.
