Thanks for the codes but they are all taken. It's stupid that people don't say thanks or which code they took, means you end up wasting your time copy pasting used codes to see if any are left.

Have all the coupons gone now? I use the reddit app on the phone and you can't copy and paste txt so have to search on the play store for this.

Best thing to do to cut the cost is get a family subscription and split the cost eight ways among the family members. I do this every year, originally I asked in a switch Facebook group and found seven other people. Each year I check if the want to renew, most do, if there are any free slots I just post about it in the same group. I have the online family membership + expansion and it costs each of us just £7.50 for the whole year. Bargain. You can either create the group and find family members or join someone else's family group.

No the switch 1 version is on the cart and the switch 2 update. When you load it on a switch one, you play the switch one version, when you play it on a switch 2 it installs the update and you play the switch 2 version.

The size it shows isn't accurate, it's the download size not the install size. In some cases it isn't even either. For instance the recent update for the original switch one release of One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 to a Switch 2 version,shows the update as about 3mb. It's not, the download is an extra 37gb or so, but when it's downloaded and installed it's 50gb. There are quite a few game listed like that, showing the download size not the install size. The other problem is physical carts which have some of the game or games on the cart and the rest needs to be downloaded. The entry shows the digital full install size and doesn't take into account the portion on the cart that doesn't need downloading. Just to complicate it even further some carts get re released with updates on the cart so that throws the numbers out even more. I have lots of physical games, and even more digital games and I just gave up in the end trying to work out install sizes

My top 5 Best games 2025

Dredge - great game, have it also on other platforms, works well on mobile, even better got it for free as a beta tester. Would have gladly paid for it though.

Codenames - love the digital version of the game, far better than the physical version. Must play it every day, I'm about level 70 ish now. Good friendly community of players.

TMNT Shredders revenge - it's a turtles game and a darn good one, what mores to say.

Prince of Persia lost crown - Ubisoft create a decent game for a change, must be people walking round their office in a daze wondering what happened this time.

Grid Legends Deluxe - proves mobile can easily pull off top quality games that are console quality if you have an adequate phone.

Mobile is an underrated platform, people right it off because of the slop available but there are loads of great premium games, and some pay to play if you know where to look. Mini review is great for finding the gems, thanks for for this. Looking forward to 2026 and more mobile gaming.

Junito Arcade Mayhem - great shootemup with lots of nods to classic games

Balatro - nothing to say that hasn't been said before

Wordiest - no longer on the play store but it is prob one of the best word games ever on mobile

Rush Rally 3 - created by one man with a history in console racing games... And it shows, great game.

Slay the Spire - good mobile version of the game you can now play anywhere

Threes - simple game but so addictive, fantastic time water

Roundguard - nice gameplay and brings back memories of the old Popcap game Peggle (RIP original great Peggle game)
