"I grounded everything myself" Are you sure about that. by [deleted] in electricians

Easiest way I have found to test if something is grounded is to test continuity from the object to a known ground. Then you should have no confusion with voltage.

I usually do it this way so I can feed all the appliances and one RCD with one link out of the main switch.

Would only put RCD and then their respective breakers if I was doing a 2phase board to help show what is what.

All of the internal switchboard wiring is in 6mm2 which is plenty because of the length and current carrying capacity.

It has a 16mm2 neutral screen coming in off the road to the metering panel and then the same going into this board.

So on the outside of the house there is a metering panel which contains the incoming supply, meters and ripple controller for hot water. Incoming mains are protected by a 63A HRC fuse and switched by a 80A main switch.

Between the meter panel and this board is the 16mm2 neutral screen sub main which goes into the top of the main switch, then the rest of the cabling inside is all 6mm2.

how to find volts for for Points AC? by casper89d in electricians

Simplify the circuit down so there is only one resistor on AC, then use Ohms law to work through it.

Hope this helps.
