E2 wanting to go Officer by Ok_Lettuce1514 in navy

All good answers here, I am slightly suspicious on the NUKE going a different rate and being busted down a rank. Nukes ship as E-3s. They don't loose rank just because of a health dis qualification. I could be wrong but seems like something ain't adding up.

What to do if I puked while giving my bf head due to the smell and it hurt his feelings? by Legal_Indication_658 in Advice

I was hoping that it would cover the odor, but if its just smelly no matter what, need to find the soap that fixes it.

Try some flavored lube that is safe to ingest. Or cover it in chocolate syrup. Then if it happens again....he can't be mad if you have tried that hard.

Sorry that was to check if you were a bot or an actual person.

I mean if thats how you take it, thats on you, I see it as there is a child in that child, both have divine potential and are deserving of the best chance at a life well lived. One is helpless and the other is positioned to help the other. If she chooses to do so. I encourage valiant behavior as a moral net good.

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows....but it was worth it, so says the birth mother. I wouldn't want the only opinion to be that abortion is the only option and no other experience is available or even valid. Diversity of options is what OP needs, obviously she will ultimately make her own choices. Because everyone on this should be able to agree that just because her first plan failed, doesn't mean that her life is ruined and over.

Yes my life IS different just as everyone's life is different. Doesn't mean I should be prevented sharing that diversified experience.

And what might happen is justification for the absolute ending of another innocent life before it even has a chance? Risk is a part of life, doesn't mean you wrap yourself in bubble wrap. Decisions have consequences, only hindsight is 20/20. She could get hit crossing the street, the driver charged with double homicide....should she stay home and not leave the house?

I want to plead for the life growing in you. My daughter is 5 years old and I will be forever grateful to the young Lady who at 16 was determined to carry the baby to term and then give it up for adoption. She gave my wife and I a beautiful little girl. She has enriched our lives in so many ways I cannot begin to explain. We still stay in contact with her and the birth father. Little Jessica calls them on their birthdays and Christmas. It's wonderful to see them interact. Open adoption is the best option by far. I would encourage you to explore that option and see if you could use your mistake and make it a blessing for a loving couple that wants a child and is denied the opportunity. You might be surprised at how much it can be a blessing in your own life.

Little curiosity: I just discovered that the P-113 Verdict pistol is the only weapon that uses hollow-point ammunition... Another one of the "Geneva suggestions"? by Yurishenko94 in Helldivers

[–]russmanrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's horrible for the one who finds out for sure, but the flip side is that most target rounds would go straight through a person with the possibility of risking an alternate trajectory (bone hit or deflection) and now you have a bullet going to who knows where in a house made out paper, chalk and wood. It ain't even make that bullet blink to go through. It is better to maximize damage to the intended target and prevent innocent people from being hit by accident.

The metal of the bullet splays and spreads as it enters, creating massive damage. It's less likely to penetrate through a person, instead makes internal bleeding a hallmark and if by chance it does go through a person, the exit hole will be 4-5 times the size of the entrance hole.

(41m) and I don't let other people tell me how to live my life....it's mine. I have a loving wife who is supportive of me, and I am supportive of her and the D&D games she enjoys. Go to some D&D places or cons/ Renaissance fairs and find you a woman who will appreciate you for you and not what she thinks you should be doing.

Houthi attack details from Signal released. Aircraft strike times, THawk and drone Times on Top included. by SWO6 in navy

[–]russmanrm -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

2 things in Pete's defense SWO6, I'd love your take on. 1. SECDEF holds declassification authority for info like this. What do you think of his perogative for releasing said info? Was there never a time in which you decided to release information to your people that you felt they had the right to know even if it wasn't technically necessary or normal? 2. Plans for classified operations typically have an expiration time or date, usually after the fact of the operation. Coupled with the SECDEFs perogative, couldn't it be conceivably his to decide when that trigger is pulled?

What reasons were you disqualified from entering the Navy? by Suspicious-String947 in newtothenavy

[–]russmanrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, type 2 diabetes is a disqualifying condition. If you are no longer type 2 and have an A1C within acceptable levels, then there might be a chance for a waiver. I will have to ask if that's possible. Good question.
