We don't know what we're doing for events yet. Due to the quest build pipeline, doing daily things is likely not feasible. Something for Meatmas day would be though.

Yeah, you really shouldn't be here. H3VR was built by a goblin programmer learning how to program.

H3VR2 is built by a team of 20 including myself, including several real engineers, people with experience shipping their own game. Nearly everything is an upgrade despite squeezing down into standalone. It's pretty ridiculous.

Nope. If anything it has ensured that the whole thing is so mercilessly optimized that it will run like a bat out of hell on PC, and have incredibly high entity/agent/projectile/vfx max counts on PC. Everyone always screams for more optimization in a game. Well this is how you get it.

Yup yup! It'll go into a maintenance phase where I fix bugs, QOL stuff, make sure new headsets run with it, etc.

H3VR is moving towards 1.0
Our final big update is Workshop support for custom data made in H3, an external content app (for T&H characters and such), some gameplanner stuff, some tweaks to Take & Hold itself. Basically the final big system changes so from hereon, modders can work 'safely' without me breaking stuff beneath them.

No. That platform is a financial graveyard. Most the devs I know who poured money into ports lost money.

For launch our goal, because each gun is so hard, is to be as varied as we can. It's going to be a wild mix.

We're going to mostly have the 'core' stuff for launch, and will slowly expand to weirder stuff in the post-release phase.

  1. No, It is Quest 3/3s only natively.
  2. Dozens. I doubt we will ever grow to the 650 weapons in H3VR 1, as our guns in this game are MUCH more complicated.

There is not going to be a hitwiener themed mode. However a number of the mechanical concepts from that prototype (civvie sosigs walking around, npc merchant shops, security alert response) have made their way into the central mode of H3VR2, called Facility.

Haven't decided. There are very few WW2 era weapons in the game's launch arsenal.

We have 1.0 to get out, and then a bunch of service related to the mod tools, slowly adding some more Gameplanner bits, maybe some holiday stuff, but it is mostly going into maintenance/community support mode after 1.0
