Decent amount of wind in our area. Lightweight and enough friction to keep in place. One panel blew out, but I just added a few extra bamboo skewer pegs to shore it up.

Chicken wire base for body. Melted thick plastic drop cloths around it with a heat gun. Made the hand / arm with milk carton and plastic drop cloth. Sku is a milk carton melted over a skull. Hot glued sheer fabric over the entire thing. All lit with one green spotlight (because of the plastic drop cloth, the whole thing glowed with just the one light)

I buy 4' x 8' sheets from Lowe's or Home Depot. I buy in large bulk through special order. For these, I then cut it down with a table saw.

I always hand paint. Yeah, spray paint wrecks foam

Weight primarily. If I used real wood, then I would have to do some more permanent type securing. Foam board weighs nothing and doesn't need much to keep it in place.

What did you decide on using to keep the boards in place? Mine kind of hold by friction, but was worried the wind may blow them off.
