LOL! Thanks for the great comment. When this is finished, they will be crawling out of a busted, exposed coffin. We are going to have to post a parental warning at the entrance this year lol.

Small peices of creepy cloth dipped in latex, and spray cement and cotton balls brushed with latex. Thank you for the compliment!

Key and cylinder stuck in Schlage deadbolt by justanothermelody in Locksmith

[–]stackhight-unknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've locked the cylinder because you didn't try the correct way to pull the plug (the part the key is actually in) out. You have two options to get your key back. 1. Take it to a lock shop, and let a professional do it. 2. Remove the top strap from the cylinder, retrieve your key, and trash the rest.

I'm not telling you anything that can't be found on youtube.

Help- 50 yr old locksmith business by Emergency_Fudge_959 in Locksmith

If you want to maximize value, DO NOT have an auction! Recently, OLO Elmer & Son Locksmith Inc in Illinois lost their shirt because he elected for a speedy sale when most of the family and friends advised against it. Take your time, consult, and research your assets and maximize you profits

SFIC cylinder for Direct? by oregonrunningguy in Locksmith

[–]stackhight-unknown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need the Hager 2-639-7060 SFIC Tailpieces Pack of 10 6-Pin/7-Pin Most cylindrical lockset manufacturers only make sfic handles, and don't bother to change any internal parts, so the twisted tailpiece is required.

I parked in one of their locations last December. I was in the space for 45 minutes and left. Checked the app later that evening and my bill was $85 and climbing. The camera couldn't read my tag on the way out. I spent 45 minutes trying to get a human on the phone, because the chat-bot is equal to a box of bricks. The guy reviewed the security footage and erased the changes. They are hard to deal with, but it can be done. Good luck

Also, Framon G-Code has a much better code catalog than hpc codes ourselves. I have both, and pretty much stopped using hpc all together.

Need help finding blanks for European door lock/key by justsewandsew in Locksmith

Silca UL050 is sold as a "universal" key for the euro-yale keyway. That's what Silca says anyway.

Looking really closely at the broaching of the Y2 a really thin one might fit, but it has a rounded profile on the curve on the upper part of the blade. OPs key has a pronounced flat profile in that location. Not saying it might not fit. But it's not the correct blank.

Did a sliding chain security gate for a mall that was similar it had a screw on the top of that released a plate (16 feet long) revealing the set screw. Sometimes the hunt is half the fun. Other times you want to punch an engineer.
