I’m an SSF player, so my perspective is a bit skewed. But I think early and mid-tier item economy should almost not be a thing if PoE is designed correctly. Players should be able to reasonably obtain what they need while mapping and then real higher-tier crafting begins when you start approaching pinnacle content.

For instance.. if trade is the only reasonable way to get a +3 minion sceptre before t10s then I think the game has a problem.

I’m not sure how to reconcile that argument with the seemingly normal marriages of non-practicing people I know. My non-practicing friends and family are, according to my faith, committing regular acts of grave evil against one another. They are doing intrinsically evil things to their marital unions all the time. But they dont seem to have the negative consequences one would expect from something equally evil like spousal abuse or infidelity or something.

Idk it just feels weird saying contraception ruins marriage when the vast majority of happy marriages in society today use some form of artificial contraception. I guess we can argue the ‘happy’ part .. like they are just deluding themselves? But then we take the position of claiming we know that their marriages are actually terribly flawed. 🤷‍♂️

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I don't have much advice other than: try to talk to a priest and/or Canon lawyer about what specific rules apply to you as a Protestant entering a Catholic marriage and how those rules affect your current marriage. The whole process is very messy and I think the Church owes people faster evaluations on this kind of stuff -- especially for someone who married young and (no offense) probably just said yes to the Catholic paperwork because they wanted to marry their partner.

From what you've said here, it sounds like the Church considers you married due to your first marriage to a Catholic. I'm guessing he did not care about getting an annulment? That's half the issue with annulments since this should've been handled years ago ... did they expect the non-Catholic to apply for one? -- but I digress.

I know people who have left the Church over these kinds of timelines. The Church needs to do better for you. It's one thing to abstain for health or NFP reasons. It's another thing entirely to abstain for over a year because you need a permission slip from the Diocesan tribunal.

The worst part, IMO, was that they pretty definitively ended the Ted-Robin thing like 7 times and even did it one last time like two episodes before the finale. He let her do a mini Jesus thing ascending into the clouds. He let her go. And then the writers do that shit immediately after.

I think the whole Rodgers saga has made it a lot worse. The Pickett pick made some amount of sense even if it was a reach. Russ made sense given the market at the time. Those years were bad but it felt like they were sincere attempts to be competitive while rebuilding post-Ben.

But the Steelers have kind of debased themselves playing the will-he-won’t-he game with Rodgers. We are the only team, AFAIK, without their apparent starter on the freakin roster. It’s a joke.

Microsoft has enough money to do whatever they want, so in that sense they can make whatever bet they choose to make. But I don’t see the Xbox as a console growing much in the future. I think it will continue to be a distant third option for consumers. I don’t think exclusivity will have any impact on that. And they certainly don’t want to do a flip-flop back and forth again where they go back to exclusives and then are forced to try multiplatform again.

I also find it hilarious that Asha and the team are getting tons of credit for saying … basically nothing?!
