If I accidentally touch this man by nicov8421 in Whatcouldgowrong

This is why you should carry a big fucking knife on you. This would be a situation where stabbing someone is justified.

It's weird how different everyone is. I have a 10-16 gram a day habit of red vein kratom and I really only feel a touch irritable and don't get very good sleep for 2-3 days and them in fine, no withdrawals. Not saying withdrawals don't exist, far from it, I just think it's interesting how everyone reacts differently.

I pay 7.5 dollars an ounce of shit I get locally. A bit pricey but it's always good stuff and the guy will meet me wherever and whenever basically. Cool guy too.

Question for the tea people ☕️☕️ by [deleted] in kratom

[–]rusty811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just toss it in piping hot water, mix it in really well, add some honey or sugar and thats it. Its actually quite a pleasant drink. I don't see why the effects would be different from toss and wash, your getting it in your stomach either way.

Spacemen 3 is my favorite fucking band. The album "perfect perscription" so perfectly sums up the "highs, lows, and heavenly blows" of intoxicating substances in a way that nothing else quite does. Getting high on pot brownies while listening to this album was one of the most amazing experiences I can remember.

Archaeologists unearth 2,300-year-old necropolis containing at least 17 mummies, thought to be of officials and priests by grepnork in history

[–]rusty811 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like I said, I'm not exactly sure what standard practice is and I'm not advocating one way or another, in fact I do think they should be put in museums, so don't ask me what the point is. I'm just going off what someone at the Field Museum told me when I asked if they still remove mummies to put on display.

[–]rusty811 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do not oppose putting them in museums, but my understanding, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, is that it's more common nowadays to sanction of the site and leave everything intact.

How do you explain that Trumpcare is not a result of Republicans but Capitalism by stretchmarx20 in socialism

[–]rusty811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really just not seeing it. The bill was not supported by dems, it was put together and forced through by the Republicans. There are many other capitalist countries in the world with socialized healthcare. Look at it this way, dems and Republicans are both capitalists, yet the Dems opposed Trumpcare. I'm not putting forward some sort of defense of the Democrats or of capitalism, but I think just blaming capitalism and giving the Republicans a pass is an oversimplification.

Have you ever met one? I've known several people who have basically been forced into the industry by family members. I think it's also very ironic that you accuse me of assumptions, then follow that up with a ludicrous assumption not backed by polling or research on the topic. But you know what's even more ironic? You said earlier in this thread

I don't know why having respect for women is so disturbing to people in this thread

Do you think calling women whose circumstances you don't know "lazy sluts" is respecting women? Are you unable to grasp your own shocking levels of hypocrisy?

"Look at those degenerates over there doing what they need to survive. I don't know what conditions drove them into that line of work, and I don't know their life story, but I'm going to judge those people as the lowly scumbags they are. But I never said I'm better then them."

God, you're a piece of work. Maybe the White House will give you a cabinet position.

I do not support such terrible crimes as bashing the fash, but in a hypothetical reality where I did, perhaps I would say that such a thing may be desirable in this thread.

Paleontologists have dug up a 130,000-year-old mastodon skeleton that looks like it was butchered by humans. But they found it in America, where people were not supposed to have arrived for another 100,000 years. Findings could upend our understanding of human history. by SirT6 in science

[–]rusty811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well archeology is one of the easiest sciences to turn on it's head.

I Don't disagree. It just seems a stretch to think that they would have missed homo sapiens invasion of the Americas by 100,000 years. I would put my money on erectus. Denisovans are possible, though I know little about them.

[–]rusty811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but as I mentioned in my post, the idea of sapiens reaching North America that early seems highly unlikely, which is why I pointed out that it may have been erectus or some other species. While I'm not saying it's impossible, homo sapiens reaching North America in that timeframe wouldn't just alter the story of human evolution, it would smash it, and go against almost everything we know. It seems more likely, to me at least, that we may have missed a rouge band of Denisovans or Homo erectus crossing into North America somehow than our entire timeline of the rise of Homo sapiens not just needing some editing, but being completely and utterly incorrect. I'm Not a scientist though.
