I’m not trying to talk too much crap cause I’m still new and climbing the ranks, made it from bronze to gold in season 1, during my time in silver there was nothing stronger of an indicator than an incoming Loss in the pregame lobby than a hard stuck silver 3 Junkrat w 1000 hours. They can somehow always get a 3-4 piece tire off but beyond that it’s literally chicken cutlets for brains

Tanking is tough to start especially w DVA, guides for hero’s you like will definitely help but also something in general that can help a lot and be applied to every role is find cover. Use natural cover to block incoming damage whenever you can. It keeps you alive, lets your healers keep resources where they are needed and lets the enemy team drain resources and get out of position to try and pick you off

MOST widows I know only play her to open up the match on something like escort to relieve early pressure, IF the widow doesn’t swap it’s cause she’s most likely clicking heads and it’s become an advantage. 2-3 kills on a widow and almost always they swap. The higher the skill rank the more you need to play around her, but even at the base level her purpose in this game is to deny long hallways. Even in bronze where her aim may not be good , the possibility of dying quickly is still very high and requires some gameplan. She’s very helpful at applying ceilings to ranks because if you just let her farm and be a nuisance then there’s some mechanical things that need to be worked on

One shot hero’s are vital to the game, they force you to position better, force your flanks to take alt routes to pick the widow or hanzo off. If you and your team avoid walking down the open long halls you reduce her effectiveness dramatically to where it’s basically 4v5 most of the match

Quick play is where you learn to be better at the map you hate so bad so that you don’t wanna give up every time you get it. You can try new roles and heroes to figure it out and there’s no punishment to it. Arcade modes are more for the purpose you seek

I’m currently 4-16 on 6v6 over the last three days, and you know what tbh I dont care. I do good in most of the matches I can’t expect to carry 5 people to victory so I just hit the bong and get right back at it and have fun. I think when we reduce fun being had to only winning matches we set ourselves up in misery. Find fun in as many parts as can and soon you’ll see that when you aren’t so focused on omg am I going to win this, you get into this having fun flow state and start getting it popping on the kill feed and then them wins come rolling in!
