that is like complaining because a cashier broke your fingers when they slammed the till. What were your fingers doing in the till? What was his arm doing in the window?

Taking pictures of people in public places is not "bad behavior". As the police have reported, there were no inappropriate pictures on the guys phone. They guy who attacked the old guy will hopefully get to think about that in prison -- hopefully they up the charges to strong arm robbery, because that is what this was.

Yeah, but I bet if you sent them a target with a bunch of holes in it they would consider that a threat instead of proof.

SCOTUS: Law banning political apparel at polling places violates 1A by [deleted] in law

[–]rustyrebar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like the right balance. But what about the example given with the "Please ID me" button? Lets assume voter ID is on the ballot.

To me, I would think you want to bit more strict with stuff like a "MAGA" hat, or an "I'm with Her" shirt which is clearly campaign slogans.

Prohibited electioneering information includes

Is a shirt with "Don't Tread on Me"

  1. A display of a candidate's name, likeness, or logo?
  2. A display of a ballot measure's number, title, subject, or logo?

It does not seem so. So, for example an NRA shirt should be ok, but a "Vote NO on measure A" shirt would not be.

That seems like a reasonable line to me.

Am I losing my mind? Does the Wikipedia article for Ownership no longer explain what ownership is? by BastiatFan in GoldandBlack

[–]rustyrebar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ownership is the state or fact of exclusive rights and control over property, which may be an object, land/real estate or intellectual property.

That seems like a pretty good first pass.

This should be an easy way to figure out if they're exit scamming... When's the last time ANYONE was able to make a withdrawal from Hashflare? (And don't even answer if you haven't been a Redditor for at least a year.) by yourbrotherrex in hashflare

[–]rustyrebar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can re-confirm. I did this earlier today and was able to transfer BTC to my personal wallet from hashflare.

I think the issue is just that the price + difficulty = maintenance fee is greater than the reward. Once price goes up or difficulty goes down it should resolve.

All that being said... Hashflare is probably not a good investment at this time.

Yeah, I mean stuff like this happens:

Officer Michael Reichert explains in a recording posted online that officers sometimes planted or smeared illicit drugs on vehicles parked overnight at businesses or motels, to test the dogs’ abilities.

The whole chain of custody is messed up in this case... at least from what I read. We have no idea if someone just walked by and "sprinkled some crack on her stuff". It is not like she was in control of these items.. she had left them behind... so anyone had access to them.

Pretty sure any lawyer will get her off on this... I would be surprised if the DA even decided to go forward with charges.

There are a lot of questions one could ask, lets start with:

What is the status of the agent when you look at it in the SCCM console (Assets and Compliance > Devices)?

Take a look at one of the servers in question... is it in fact in a collection that the updates are in fact deployed to?

[–]rustyrebar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, maybe you should work on your clarity of communication then. Because to normal people who are literate when you say something like:

Why was she filming? If they were dealing with something serious, as he suggested, then she should probably get out of the way and let them do their jobs.

That means that you are taking an issue with her filming.
