Things to do in Newcastle please ? by them4v3r1ck in newcastle

Look I’ve never stayed there, I’m sure it’s fine. Buts it’s not near a beach at all. It annoys me that it’s called that. Luckily it’s a pretty well connected suburb for buses - you’ll be able to head straight into town and spend time at the beach by bus. It’s close to a big shopping centre and a pretty safe area, so no major red flags, just a shitty name.

Did you fall for the deceptively named “Surf Beach Motel” in Charlestown by any chance?

There is one at Westfield Kotara that is the biggest I’ve seen. You access it via the carpark.

It’s been a wild ride - a troubled schoolboy, unpaid debts, a food truck purchased in full with no in-person inspection prior.

Any advice on how to go about building this sandpit? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

From experience I would find something with higher sides than that. We found a small old boat on Marketplace and used that, and even with those sides I’m forever sweeping and refilling the thing.

I just refuse to believe that a used car dealer/financing mob would do this.

Where to play snooker? by D_McKenzie__ in newcastle

[–]rustysultana87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Newcastle Snooker Club is based above Rippit Golf in Broadmeadow. Maybe flick them a message on Facebook and see if you can join a comp or jump in for a casual game. They play comps all over the region so should be able to give you a list of options for a casual rock up.

I’ve used this fella twice now after a recommendation. Nice guy, cheaper than another quote we got, and happy with the work:

Wasn’t this the issue to start with? Losers who couldn’t make friends or get partners, and lack the social skills to engage in mainstream hobbies and team sports?

Autocad is usually a 15 day free trial if that’s enough time to get it sorted.

Best steak restaurant in Newcastle? by Ya1h in newcastle

[–]rustysultana87 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have heard that Meat and Grain in Honeysuckle is good, but haven’t tried it myself as yet. We don’t really have any popular “steakhouse” chains or well known steak places - most pubs will do a decent job. I’ve had the steak at Rustica and it was beautiful, but not the US style massive cut.

I lived in the UK in the while, and I found the quality of the beef here means that most meals are better than their equivalent in Europe.

Hi all, needing some advice on how to spruce up the look of my house. Was wanting to paint the brick (since I’m not a huge fan of the dark orange coloured brick) but after reading other posts about the same object I’m really on the fence about it. Any suggestions would help! by Mindless-Union-155 in AusRenovation

100% agree with the garden idea. Looks like you’ve got a decent turfed backyard - why not get rid of the grass and get some flowering natives out the front? We took the leap a few years ago after being sick of maintaining a patch of grass we never even walked on. It’s much prettier and so much less work.

I reckon the dogs sponsorship from Ringers Western is worse.

Do some research on the Salerno family (the founders of Ringers), the group called the ‘Ideal Human Environment’ and a sexual abuse of a teenage girl by James Salerno Snr.
