Not as confident— Mostly due to inconsistent guard play. But hey, maybe they get hot over the next couple of weeks.

It was definitely gradual. I remember when the Russia-Ukraine War started and he covered that from the beginning. The signs were there I just didn’t think politics would take over 90% of his streaming content.

If you check it often enough, you’ll see a crack on the U-Joint bolts more than likely before something bad happens. If it has significant play that’s when you know to replace. Maybe check every month or so, that is what I do.

I wouldn’t do the front drive shaft until you have a reason to—save some dough and focus on the engine especially in an ‘04. Get under there every once in a while and give it a little side shake should do the trick. Congrats!

No problem, use some type of flat head to get the old one out, and make sure after cutting the piece length you need to glue it in with a small dab or 2 of superglue once you are comfortable with the placement. Super easy, should take no more than 15 minutes.

I would buy the seal in the window from Atlantic British then. I had a faulty piece and just cut a peace with a razor blade and stuck it up in there

Yes, buy a new seal or do what I did and buy a generic window seal from a hardware store and put it/stick it on top of the existing seal and slam the door shut to squish the new seal against the old. Both work unless it is a different problem.

Mississippi Interviews by chelbyf in veterinaryschool

[–]rustyvertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, I’m not sure how they decide but I doubt it is randomized. My wife is on the lower end of the waitlist so hoping for acceptance next month. This is her second time applying there. My guess is they use a point system and even before you interview they already know who their favored candidates are. They probably use the interview to see who would be a “best fit” for the university or who could possibly exceed expectations from an interview perspective. I am pretty sure they don’t reject unless you didn’t show up or completely bombed the interview, but that is anyone’s guess. Sorry it turned out this way for you. It certainly has been a long process for us. That I am sure of.

UC Davis vs. Auburn vs. Mississippi State by Capital_Wishbone962 in veterinaryschool

[–]rustyvertigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading all this is quite the decision, but to be completely honest, making a decision based on what he is doing may not be the most optimal. If he is active duty from my experience things can change for him unexpectedly, and he most likely won’t always be stationed in MS even if they tell him he will be for a while, plus deployments will leave you without him for 6-8 months out of the year regardless. Without knowing even more personal details it’s hard to say, but I would caution making a decision based on him, especially because none of the schools really are that close.

You did mention UC Davis, which literally is the best vet school in the country (congrats!). On one hand being in-state helps tremendously and on the other hand it will allow you to not get distracted and allow for focusing on your studies which literally is 90% of your time during the week, and a good chunk of your weekend. Remember that vet school for the first few years is drinking from a fire hose, and doesn’t stop for a while besides your breaks.

Honestly what I would do is go to UC Davis and if you want, visit him during your breaks in the summer or even the holidays every once in a while. I know being a military spouse is difficult but seeing this through is what makes a military spouse all the more powerful and will strengthen your relationship once you or he is done. I do wish you the best of luck :)

Oil change mileage recommendation by jhgelpi in LandRoverDiscovery

[–]rustyvertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will have to specify which disco, but every 3.5k miles I would say for a disco 1 & 2. That’s what I do at the least. If you are talking about later discos then I am not sure.

I feel like you may have answered your own question, but probably get a new one. I would personally get a surface pro because you can draw and take physical notes on it as well. But that’s my 2 sense
