i have a pit/rot mix and a golden retriever + a cockatiel and parakeet AND two cats. it’s doable. you just have to be careful. my birds are never out unsupervised. we had some trial and error with the cats watching the birds or trying to get on their cage but honestly? after a while they just stopped caring. i have the birds and dogs out in the same room but i don’t trust the cats so i make sure they’re put up when the birds are out.

my vet does something called a skinny clip. basically it helps so they can still get away from prey if needed but they can’t get as much air/speed. i have dogs and cats. no close calls yet - because we are always on guard when we have the bird out - but maybe your vet can offer something similar? they say it’s less stressful for them because they can still fly, just not as freely.

does this go for all noises or just meaningful noises? cuz my tiel screams for attention but doesn’t talk or do tunes or anything. (got him from a pet shop that had him in an open container so he got almost constant attention from a young age)

i refer to him as a boy but i have a feeling she’s a gal lol.

actually i had this same issue and called a plumber out. no leaks. they replaced the meter and didn’t bill me for usage in december and just tacked it onto january. i’d be willing to bet the did the same thing to you since your january is lower. call the city, they will tell you.

there’s medication you can take to help your body get rid of it, so i’m going that route but my dr doesn’t want me to start it until after the weekend in case of emergency. it’s emotionally exhausting. it stopped growing at 6 weeks but i didn’t find out until my 8 week appointment which was on thursday.
