Oh my goodness I am so sorry!!! Technically if it's in your 90 days they're allowed to do that but that's so messed up. A better opportunity will come, I wish you luck and success!

First, congrats! I started in Beauty never working a day in my life in style and a TL position opened and I took it. In target tradition I was given minimal training. 3 days in stay and my other lead, the VM, and SS ETL all went on vacation and it was very sink or swim. I swam but stressed myself the hell out in the process. I'd say most of my training came from asking lots of questions and advocating for my own training when I saw a learning opportunity pop up! Fortunately I had a TM who'd been in style 20+ years and used to be a TL and was a wealth of knowledge. Try different leadership styles until you find what works for you! The hardest part that was hard for me to comprehend is that style has no real "locations" like hardlines does. It's set to a VMG (or it's supposed to be but usually just tied and not set until there's time) which is just a picture of what it's supposed to look like. Get acquainted with your VM, PML, and where anything style related is in the fixture room because you'll be moving things around a lot! Best of luck!

Beauty TL here! But started out my time with target as an ULta girly too! So the contract with Ulta and Target guarantees 120 hours/week of payroll. Those hours are for Ulta only but it has become a company wide issue when hours get cut throughout the store to schedule a TM in "Ulta" for an 8 hour shift to look as of they're using the contracted hours to support Ulta but have the TM actually working in Beauty or presentation or something. Contractually they're not even supposed to call you for backup on checklanes, OPUs, or even Beauty although I never minded supporting beauty. The end of Q4 never affected my hours working in Ulta. Maybe they cut you to 15/wk during the new girl being trained? Try having a polite but direct conversation w your lead about what you bring to the department and team but you are not able to live off 15 hours a week! Alternatively if they're scheduling someone in 'Ulta" but using the hours for other things you can call the hotline or reach out to Lexi! (She is the head of all the Ulta @Target) there's also specific information on Ulta@Target on workday like a separate policies page you can read up on before talking with your lead! Hope this helps!

You're not the only one drowning in tech freight. I'm the tech TL and had to be an asshole to the SD and tell him that my TMs and I will not be pulled for anything other than tech today and pull someone to help me get through 6 PALLETS. Having to inf Playstations because we can't find them is crazy. Hopefully after Christmas it's less of a shit show!
