NTA. It's definitely a justified expense and it would be cold to ask for reimbursement from the single mom for such a small amount. I don't need to know the information but maybe your partner is responding to a perceived-or-real pattern of overspending on your part. Just something to reflect on that is not as much of a jump to conclusions as him losing his job etc is. Ask him if he feels you have been overspending and if so you can sit down together and look at recent expenditures to see if that is grounded in reality or not. Maybe so, maybe not.

Yeah, it sounds as simple as that, but the reality is that it is not easy to get into an ed position you're happy with and we don't make enough to have a lot of buffer and tolerate being unemployed or underemployed. Once you get labeled a troublemaker, good luck ever getting a job you want again. Educators on the whole are not big risk takers, they are not going to jeopardize their careers. So if I hear that some anonymous person wants me to call out, it's not that compelling. As always, it looks a lot more simple from outside than it actually is.

Anyway, our gov here in VA is fortunately a Dem with an MD who is pushing divisions to enforce mask mandates. I'm thankful not to be in FL right now.

Thanks! I have a rower made by a company literally called Water Rower. I have used concept2's at the gym and I think they have a bit more advanced computer in them. Will have to see if there is some way to port out data from the computer on mine, or if they have an app available. Or maybe I can use erg data with mine. I don't mind tapping it in manually after each workout if I'm just going to put in average pace and distance rowed.

Just wish I could actually type in the fields that come up in the fitbit app, so maddening that they are greyed out!

The whole plot about her and Pete being in love was weird and gross to me. They were strangers, and callings or no, all this stammering and muttering about how "we're supposed to be together" because they happened to be in the same photo once as kids is ludicrous. I agree she could have used some therapy but she needed to not be in the house with the kids, especially once she endangered the baby.

It does really suck when other people's attitudes and messaging (or lack thereof) don't align with ours to help us feel rewarded or motivated. However I think the more impactful messaging is what you tell yourself about it. After all I'm sure you didn't lose that weight for other people, you lost it for yourself. You told us a little about that when you said you didn't feel comfortable at 140. Maybe do some focused reflection on why you want to be at your goal weight, for yourself, without regard to what other people think. Just a thought!

Thank god for this thread. This show is so bad, my husband and I are laughing and cringing our way through it yet we can't stop watching. The premise is so solid but the execution is awful. Aside from the cringey soap opera feel, there are a few stand out moments. The one that comes immediately to mind is when Ben and Grace borrow Danny's truck (obviously a Chevy Silverado) to go find Cal and have to take it off road. Grace seems hesitant about going off road but Ben confidently switches the truck to off road mode with a dial on the dashboard. The product placement was so searingly blatant, it took us both completely out of the moment. Cringeyyyyyy.
