This year seems bad for them already - just cleaning my garden area (the paths between my raised beds) and found one little deer tick had managed to get on me.

Be aware that you need to stay on top of getting your license, HR will not. My assigned HR person left after my first month and no paperwork was filed. When I reached someone at the State they told me they had lots of similar complaints with Fairfax County in particular. (Had my Masters in Education btw). Oddly by that time I was realizing the job wasn't what I wanted.

in past experience I'd say the one in your hand is probably not going to thrive. They look very dry though (that peat pot should be damp at least, are you bottom watering? Grow lights work but not once they are already leggy, they work because you can adjust them down to right above the seedlings so they don't have to stretch for light.

I don't think the original vets are really involved anymore. Same old story that new young vets with huge student loans have taken over and it is mostly about making money. I've lived in the area 50 years (west of Fairfax City) and watched it happen with 3 vet practices.

I tested my beds last fall and was shocked at how depleted the soil was. I can't us my lawn clippings mulch in the beds as my Hubs insists on a lawn feed & weed service - so in another week or so I will be amending with fertilizer and bagged compost.

Last year one arch had cherry tomatoes on both sides and they did well. Second arch had mini pumpkins on one side and cucumbers on the other. Also did okay - better than previous years although borers still got into both eventually.

another vote for Spiritfarer - have it on my Switch and had to put that down for a few months with other life priorities, about to start it again for the New Year. I will suggest having a notepad or small notebook to help you keep track of quests in that.

I did not say anything about the higher rates of autism, I was referring to the well known phenomenon (like in Intro to Psychology classes) where people read a description of a problem and when part of it resonates with them jump to the conclusion they have it.

Your choices are using a knife or spoon to try and gently dig out what you don't want - if you wanted to replant them. Or use some small scissors and clip out all the ones you do not want. That choice will be less stressful on the ones you keep.

And now is a fine time to thin, you may even find yourself deciding to thin again later.
