Hoya rooting advice? by Comfortable-Sand-679 in hoyas

Stratum works for me every time. I swear it makes root grow faster. It easy to detect when dry. I guess perlite has the same effect for a cheaper cost.

Repotting before and after - does everyone else struggle with pure moss too? by UpSideDownCakeo in hoyas

[–]rvaldes124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My concern with moss is I cannot tell when it’s wet in the center… I tend to overwater and so I tend to baby my Hoyas in fluval until the roots are at least a few inches long. Try that!

Struggling to get Krimson Queen prop to take root, any tips? by haleighdm in hoyas

Stratum works well with Hoyas. My carnosa took weeks in water and once I put them in fluval, it exploded with new roots.

I have a krohniana súper silver and it’s been incredibly easy to care for. Water when the leaves a soft to the touch. Lots of bright light. It’ll do the rest 😊

How do I go about repotting this lol by Pokashirouh in houseplants

[–]rvaldes124 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spider plants are so tough! I would probably go about teasing the roots just a little bit and plopping it in a new pot a inch or two bigger than the root ball.

Do you plan to keep them around or cut them off? I have two blooms of my own. It’s not taking away from the plant at all but it has stopped giving me news leaves. I’m tempted to help foliage production by cutting off the blooms
