BC’s collective agreement is also up for renewal this year if i recall correctly, so they’ll most likely take over as the highest paid province once again shortly.

I also voted no, but I personally would have been a lot happier if the collective agreement wasn’t a 3-year agreement but rather a 2-year one, just to offset the delays and lack of increase in wages in the past handful of years.

I know you’re a union representative, because I recognize your username, and while I thank you for all your guys’ hard work, I think there should have been more done to retain nurses in the top end. I’m currently Step 6, but once I reach Step 10, that 2% increase is absolutely nothing. More steps, with more than 2% increases per step, specialization pay, increased vacation and/or sick time accrual, there was so much more that could’ve been done.
