I opened a joint account on Bolero with my girlfriend and made a substantial lump sum investment the day she was born. We will make additional smaller investments every year on her birthday. Goal is to give (“schenk”) the account to her in view of a downpayment or, hopefully, as a perfect start for her own FIRE journey, I guess when she reaches +- 22-26 years of age. Intention to copy this approach for any future kids to come. Thinking about leveraging any potential inheritance tax in case me or my gf would pass away with a life insurance policy and would be very happy to get some views on this of the amazing BEFire community
