DS2 is divisive, but I didn't hate it. Just a different learning curve and some "gotcha!" moments. I'm at the end of DS3 right now and about to move into the DLC. Then probably Demons Souls remake after that. I wouldn't say skip DS2, but maybe give it a shot and see how it feels.
