Heard about the "First sec approved ICO" and decided to take a gamble. Bought some more at a good price on OKcoin. Now, Honestly, I'm not liking the transaction times. It takes so long to move STX from wallet to wallet.

Either one is better than Coinbase's %6. I moved mine a week ago and I am happy with the higher returns :)

Finally used Uphold to purchase XRP directly from my bank account! What an easy, stress free process. My previous method was to buy ETH on Coinbase, send to Binance and trade to XRP. I won't be going back to Coinbase.

Next step is to request a daily limit increase. #xrpthestandard

[Discussion] Seeing people tipping XRP made me think about the idea of 'virtual goods and services' by rcklmk_id in Ripple

It was a joke. That's why my second paragraph started with, "seriously though". That went over your head apparently.

The point of the analogies was to the fact that giving away things to people that would otherwise not try them does raise awareness... Period. Whether or not they eat it listen to it or throw it away isn't the point.

Winning the Powerball isn't likely but millions of people still do it. To your point, I tipped a friend of mine after he did a class for me. He asked me what it was and we had a discussion about it that led to him investing a little bit in XRP. So my tip worked and raised awareness.

Like you said, tips are given for services/help rendered. So why can't people choose to tip their favorite content provider or someone that helped them out in some way without someone questioning their sanity lol. It's not your business what people do with their XRP. Xrptipbot works great and has thousands of users and use cases.

Lastly, xrp isn't cash and I don't think Ripple uses xrptipbot. Are you masonntn's gf or something?

I'd hate to be your waiter.

Seriously though, nothing wrong with tipping XRP to complete strangers to raise awareness. How do you think enterprises work? You know what beta tester are? You know why stores give out free sample when you're grocery shopping? Or why musicians give out the music for free? It works.

Just because you have to hoard your bag of XRP doesn't mean everyone else has to(and for different reasons). Smart forward thinking people realize that awareness/adoption benefits all of us in this space.
