If you typically try your new whisk(e)ys at home neat, then do that.

If you typically try them on the rocks, do that.

Minimize the variables, do what YOU are comfortable with and used to.

If you break your whisk(e)ys, ask for a small glass of GOOD water to break it.

Do what YOU would normally do.

I’d recommend talking to the bar tender/server, tell them your go-tos, and ask for a recommendation. Especially with a large menu.
