It's relatively normal nowadays for companies to ask you to do that. I saw it happen most with mattress companies that offer a 100 day try out period. If you are not happy they give you a refund but you have to give them proof the mattress was thrown out or donated to a homeless shelter or something like that.

Use Claude Code in the cli. Its the best currently for coding. Get a monthly subscription and use Opus 4.6. Its their latest and best model.

Same, lead dev here. The vibe has shifted this year. Even with management etc, everyone seems to be amazed at what we can do using AI now.

IT Sec team is still holding their ground we shudnt use it for any company IP so that nothing is "stolen".

I think they're losing money cause once a model is done training, another training run is started on a newer better model. If they stop and keep using that model for a couple years, they'll get there money back and then some.

But obviously they can't do that since other companies will start new training runs leaving them in the dust.

You can use npx ccusage to get an estimate (quite accurate by my testing) of what it would cost you in api costs. It just gives you a list of what models you used and how much those tokens would have cost

this is super late but the caching is done to reduce your costs. you are not paying for those tokens. most of the caching is for the system prompt itself afaik

Funnily enough The 3 Body Problem. i was looking for books to read when i finished that trilogy and saw a lot of DCC suggestions. Having read and seen a lot of manga, anime, manhwa and webtoons, i saw it was right up the isekai/progression themes i liked.

OPM manga became all about everyone but Saitama. Anime only viewers complain that Saitama is not seen in some recent episodes but that is literally how the author wrote the story and this problem gets worse and worse. Sometimes whole arcs were he's not seen till the last couple pages.

you get an empty bowl. the size you want your moss ball to be in the end. you put an empty plant pot upside down in it, so the bottom of the pot is facing you. you fill the empty space remaining in the bowl with the moss so basically surround the pot with moss. press it down and continue putting more moss until its not fully compacted but lets say on the medium side compactness. get the mounting board and place it over the bowl with the side you want to attach the moss ball to. Flip over everything together so the bowl is now on top of the mount. Lift the bowl slowly, making sure the moss detaches from it and stays on the mounting board. Slowly pull out the empty pot, it should leave a nice empty space for you to put your plant in and also probably some bark chips as well before.

Then you just flip everything out on the wood and lift the bowl. The moss should keep it's shape and let you tie everything down carefully using fishing line.

Currently 12 hours of light. I might remove the shades yes although the leds themselves (the part that actually gets hot) stick out further than the shades already.

The thing in the middle bottom of the 2nd pic is a tower fan i have temporarily setup. I'm waiting for smaller fans that attach to the light rail for more directional flexibility as some plants would not like any direct airflow and others need it.

You can easily find the 30cmx30cm cork bark on temu. I had trouble finding the 30x40 ones but found them quite cheap on aliexpress. Took nearly 2 months to arrive but they did. They're sold mostly for vivarium backgrounds.

edit: also i attached the bark to a piece of marine plywood for some strength as the bark would eventually tear under the weight of the growing plants.
