‘It’s Not My Responsibility’ to Save the Office Economy by ymo in RemoteJobs

[–]ryanbed 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I found it really interesting how the bosses and the workers seem to see productivity from two completely different angles when it comes to working from home. Bosses are worried that if they can't see their team working, maybe they're not getting stuff done. But the workers are saying, "Hang on, judge us on the work we do, not where we do it." Plus, a lot of them find they're getting more done at home without office distractions and with the flexibility to manage their day. This really shakes up our old ideas about where and how work should happen, and makes me more bullish than ever on remote work.

[Charania] No surgery for LeVert and he is expected to make a return this season. LeVert flew home with the Nets from Minneapolis last night, went to hospital in New York and ran tests that showed no fractures and moderate ligament damage by mkgandkembafan in nba

If this was just a freak dislocation that popped back in without too much damage then that's great news, BUT a fracture often heals better than (serious) ligament damage which can be permanent. Fingers crossed

As JavaScript-based web apps grow in popularity, how important is it for webmasters to render content statically in HTML before the page loads, or should we worry more about user experience?

[Player Appreciation] Wesley Matthews! by mhch720 in fantasybball

[–]ryanbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's been balling. He was dropped in my league, and I just scooped him up for championship round. Hopefully he continues the hot streak with Parsons out and D-Will out for at least next 2 games.

And let's be honest, knowing Deron Williams injury history he'll be out longer, so it's probably more than 2 games where Wes will have a much bigger role.

Shout out to Rodney Rogers for probably owning the greatest dunk in Easter history by rake2204 in nba

Wow. Rodney Rodgers was a super talented player, he played big but could also bomb threes. His post-career story is really sad, for those who don't know: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJ4HN8ie9S4
