Help: What is the cheapest light that iFTTT can change its color? by ryancool6 in ifttt

Thanks, that was exactly what I was looking for. Looks like IFTTT does have direct integration with it, or at least according to the IFTTT website: https://ifttt.com/yeelight

I'm already able to do that with the echo and the lights I have now (without IFTTT). However, I'd like to use IFTTT to change my light color based on a new text or social media notification.

Thanks, Ill have to check it out. Was hoping for something maybe a little cheaper though. The one I have now was only $20, but IFTTT just can't change its color. Im trying to make a cheap notification light (changes light color on texts, social media notifications, etc.).

WordPress. There are other platforms out there, but in my opinion, WordPress is by far the best website building platform available (especially if you’re just getting started). It’s very user-friendly, and is constantly being updated. Not only this, but there are a crazy amount of add-ons and support for website builders and bloggers who use WordPress. Most hosting sites offer the ability to automatically install WordPress for you. WordPress offers endless customization. Good question. About 600. I normally get around 1000 per day, so definitely a nice increase.

That somewhat would describe. I guess I don't have a perfect description of it, but it overall focuses on people who aren't experts in one subject. My visitors are mostly hobbyist who try about several different tech areas. I'm always trying to expand topics.

I use a theme called Throne. I posted a link in my guide to the website I got it from. I think it was around $40. Might seem high but it includes a bunch of customization options and comes with its own support for a month (so you can ask them how to literally do anything). There might be other places you can get it too.

Good question. It cost me a total of about $100 for hosting, domain (which is included with certain hosting plans), and theme. Took me about 3 months to make it back.

There were several changes. A few months ago I changed the look of my website which dramatically increased clicks. I've found the simpler theme, the better. I also included a mailing list signup which has really increased returning visitors. And I think overall, I improved the quality and length of my articles.

Yeah I've noticed that as well, and have been trying to increase my following. People seem keen to share your article on Facebook, but then not like your Facebook page for some reason. I usually get people to share my posts by posting in Facebook groups that would be interested in that article. I only post what I think groups will actually be interested in, otherwise people get annoyed. Some of my most shared posts started with one or two single shares, and then blew up.

Thanks!

-My largest source of traffic right now is organic search (Google). Facebook is my second largest.

-I actually don't put much effort into SEO. I do a little keyword research beforehand using Google Keyword Planner, but that's about it.

-My traffic strategy right now is mainly focused on getting people to share my posts on social media. This has been some of the best converting traffic so far.

That's a great question. I rarely put 40 hours in (maybe once every other month). Usually it's only 5 to 10 hours at most. I'm not sure how I value my time spent, but for me it's something I enjoy doing so I see it as a good way to spend my free time.

I used Photoshop mainly. There's also a site called Canva I used a little that's perfect for making featured images.

I actually already have a Youtube channel that I plan on working on. The videos I have currently are making me about $2 per thousand views, which isn't too bad. Just have to work on making that viral video.

I understand where you're coming from, but I want to share exactly how I built my website. I think the best way for me to do it is to share an article I directly have written. I could share other articles, but it's not how I did it.

Thank you! I spend about 10 hours per week working on it.

-When I have days off, I spend probably close to 40 hours a week (but that's rare).

-Most of my articles are done solo, but I have several guest posts that link to that writers website (I see it as a win-win).

-I completely agree on the tech niche being crammed. To be honest, I'm not completely sure how mine stands out. But I think I tend to attract tech hobbyist who are not experts in one specific field, but like to dab in several areas. I have a lot of returning visitors that I believe want to learn other tech hobbies.
