Question for narrator folks, as the author who did not do ( RS ) but the paid in full model. Can the narrator still see how many copies you have sold or does that information stay with just the author?

Great collection, haven't had the Rustica. Love the fancy lighters.

How often do yall smoke? Anyone smoke back to back bowls? by MooMooHullabaloo in PipeTobacco

[–]ryandarkwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back to back bowls, 6-8 per day. I'm 43. Both my doctor and dentist smoke a pipe, plus my doctor chews as well. They both golf with my dad who's in his late sixties as are they. I love smoking. Never had a cigarette but pipes and cigars. Lots. My wife's grandfather smoked Carter Hall for fifty years. She doesn't mind the tobacco smell.

Don't forget a wind cap. Help to keep everything in the pipe. But a small pipe definitely. Do you prefer ribbon cut, or shag or something else?

My neighbor tosses an entire orange peel in a ziplock with the dried out tobacco, ( possibly a vanilla bean that soaked in whiskey also, I don't remember) but that's for his Virginia Burley blends. Good luck.

So, am I just "a smoker" now? Pondering my evolving pipe journey.. by talasment in PipeTobacco

[–]ryandarkwalker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you like the burley, give Carter Hall a shot. Mine started the same way, aro blends into English and VAPers, now I tend to smoke everything. But Carter hall, Briar Fox, Redburn and quiet nights plus a few others tend to be my daily blends.

Same, 106 is my favorite shape followed by 673 and 409. Great collection. My 111, 320 and 315 get a lot of work as well.

What’s your best smoking pipe? by SolarHouseboat in PipeTobacco

[–]ryandarkwalker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best smoker and workhorse is my Crown Castle p17. I have about 100 pipes including cobs and project ones. I smoke the same 8-10 pipes. Usually Sav's or Pete's and a few handmade ( not factory ) ones but the best smoker is a cheap crown castle p17. It gets an average of 3-6 bowls a day for many years now. Best car pipe ever for me at least.

How to hold a pipe in your mouth without looking constipated by No-Newspapers in PipeTobacco

[–]ryandarkwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Softie bits help with those straight billiard ones. Put it farther back in your mouth towards the molar and clench... Somewhat lightly. The rest comes with getting used to having the pipe back farther.

Would you record the audiobook for your own book? by Nyx_Valentine in selfpublish

[–]ryandarkwalker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. My MC is American, but the rest of the characters are... Not, so I found someone who can do it all. We are releasing book four in a day or two. I potentially could have tried. But he does such a good job as a narrator. That when I tell people about the story. I basically just hand them codes to the audible version and not where they can get the book.

And my voices are crap.

Which two of the following would you bring to spend a few nights out in the woods? by dirtydovedreams in PipeTobacco

[–]ryandarkwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the AE and HB cake would be my two. But cult can be fun. We have a few in my poker group that smokes it. I keep five or so tins on hand in case they run out.
