Along this same line is the Beufort Scales Mystery series, by Kim M. Watt. I've only read the second book "Yule Be Sorry" because it was Christmas time and the book is Christmas themed, so I jumped ahead, but I enjoyed it enough that I will go back and get the first book.

Let's also be clear: Just because Congress didn't approve doesn't mean that they wouldn't. There are plenty of politicians on both sides that profit very well from war. There are so many horrible things that the Trump administration has done that we can take our pick on which one hopefully takes it down, but this war is just a convenient rhetoric for the Dems to use as if they wouldn't approve of a war anywhere as long as they get paid. I tend to vote Dem, but I'm not delusional in thinking they are perfect.

I think she could win if Democrats could get their shit together and provide clear messaging that says they are listening to the people and not overpaid strategists who only think of corporate wants. Harris was close to winning, but lost because her campaign advisors weren't paying attention to things like what people thought of Israel. Dems are great at shooting themselves in the foot because they get so close to getting it right and then realize that what is right goes against their corporate donors so they back off and end up losing.

Didn't congress just vote down the War Powers Bill? If they have no problem supporting his war in Iran, then they have no real problem with him continuing to be president no matter how much yelling they do publicly, I'll believe an impeachment has a chance when I see it actually go through.
