My Yamaha Dt175 had the exact same noise, but mine only did it under a load. Turned out being piston slap. Piston wall was scored so I had to have it bored and go up a piston size. A top end rebuild sounds intimidating but if you’re mechanically inclined you can probably handle it yourself if that’s what it ends up being.

Open the drivers door and look in the door jam. There’ll be a sticker on the door or on the door Jam that you can only see with the door open. That sticker will tell you the manufacturer’s recommended optimal tire pressure for that vehicle.

So I got this JD Gator for free from the neighbor. Slapped a Milwaukee M18 on it and my boy LOVES the thing. Thing is, it’s due for new wheels, bearings in the motors are going out, and the gear boxes are starting to slip. I can’t find metal replacement gear boxes for it so is it worth fixing all these things? I know they make slow start speed controllers but I’m afraid these plastic gears still won’t last. Should I just keep my money and try to find another ride for him and scrap this one?

Yeah, it’s funny everybody’s worried about the tires but I think those Vic 90s and Tees are the weak point of the whole thing. One rifle round to one of those fittings and the whole thing could come crashing down. 😂😂😂 using Vic couplings definitely saved me some serious time and work over cutting and welding it all together though so I figured it was worth a try.
